SONY......the one and only!
With a little investment, the PS3 can be brought back to top performance after it has aged and a little wear and tear.

The first and still the best!
When bluray was first introduced by Sony, I purchased a PS3 and got 10 years out of it, entirely for playing blurays for my home theater. I have not been able to find a better 1080P bluray player and it is a shame this is a discontinued model. Wanted a backup PS3 to mod. Fine but loud fan noise.

Best overall package in a system.
customer sold me a big mess. mutilated blueray missing half the parts + internal parts missing. completely lied about everything to me in all the questions I asked before i bought it.
I was able to get a partial refund.
The ps3 is the ultimate entertainment machine it would have been the all in one if it kept linux on it but the system memory fell short, so sony took it out.
Also the internal hdd can be upgraded, so you can store all your media/movies/audio/pics . ps3 has a blueray drive that can play 3d movies. Has a web browser.Lire l'avis complet...
Only way to go
The PS3 had a serious problem with overheating. Though most of the overheating issues came from owner neglect, Sony had to go back to the drawing board on this one. If you are electronically inclined, I would suggest only buying any Playstation used or for repair. You can buy these systems a day long for around $25, and fix them yourself. When it breaks, buy another one. Ultimately, you could spend your hard earned cash on a real system......any series XBOX will do.Lire l'avis complet...

If you want to have a great gaming expirence, definetely buy a PS3
Well, after a year of hearing my friends talk nonstop about how they were with *other kid with a PlayStation* on *multiplayer game* and they managed to do some awesome thing, I decided to buy one and see if it's all what it's cracked up to be. I went ahead and bought the cheapest I could find because all the sources I could find said it has the same processing power as the newest generation console. I don't care if it's fatter, it works just as well. The first game I bought was Battlefield 3 (and still my only game, I just bought it) and let me say, I am blown away at the graphic capabilities that this thing can pump out. At first, I was disappointed that my TV doesn't have an HDMI port, but it's 1080p resolution which I didn't understand, but to my surprise, the YPbPr cord can output a crisp 1080p signal! I was astounded. But that's not relevant to the review. As for the pros and cons, I'd have to say that it's a great way to let loose and strap C4 to a jet and watch it rain fire. Cons, the way you control the main interface is a bit confusing but I'm sure it will come to me soon. Compared to the Wii, it blows it away. The Wii is a kids toy and it can't even output HD which is VERY disappointing. The XBOX360 requires you to pay for the internet which is a complete joke in my eyes. I love everything about this system I even ordered of God of war skin for it
The only complaint I would have is it didn't come with the game as promised

PS3 is still a 5/5, even in 2015!
The PS3's home menu and controls feel classic and true to Playstation, yet renders graphic quality and frame rate unmatched by it's predecessors. The exclusives produced for this console are great to collect and have tons of replay value! I bought this item second hand from Pawn King through their Ebay page (11bestdeals4u) and it still worked perfectly. The only con I can say for this console is that alot of the Playstation exclusives require a Sony 6axis dualshock 3 controller, and are almost unplayable without it. I have a generic Logitech wireless controller which works excellently for any game, aside from those which use the 6axis motion sensor..Lire l'avis complet...
