PSP Silver Daxter Pak

This pak by itself is a great purchase. You get a Silver PSP-2001, AC Adapter, USB mini A cable, The Family Guy UMD, and also Daxter.

The advantages of having a slim over a PSP-1001 (affectionity know as PSP Fat) is that you are able to charge the PSP battery by simply hooking up the USB cable to the device.

Another useful feature is that recently (as in the beginning of 2008), you are able to use Skype with your PSP which is the first native messaging system for the device that I know of (Dont work AFKIM, I know you were the first of any but Skype is the first released by Sony, that works on an unmodified PSP).

If you are looking to hack your PSP, there comes a warning. If you do you are hurting the PSP industry 2 ways. First of all is the simple fact that most if not all people who hack their PSP are not buying games. Secondly it is very easy to "brick" - make the device unusable by corrupting the flash BIOS. Take care if this is your intent for the device.

Best Value for an Extra $40.00

Besides Daxter, this Entertainment Pack is well worth it. I've tried to make a customized Entertainment Pack by using this method: a new game, a new movie, a new 1GB memory card, and of course a new PSP Core, even used eBay for extra cheap prices, but with shipping and handling, the custom price was at least $5.00 more compared to buying one retail with tax. I have had my PSP Daxter Pack for over a year, and to be honest, it has replaced my mp3 player. I personally call it an iPod that can play games. I watch movies, listen to music, surf the internet, and of course play games; it really has became a part of my life. And as memory card technology is advancing, the storage space is also. Right now, I'm using an 8GB memory card and will be upgrading to a 16GB memory card very soon.

All in all, if you're looking for a gift, the PSP is great for the "mature" gamer but if they're still young, go with the DS. This is also proven by the games choices available to each handheld. The new PSP is 19% thinner and 30% lighter. Should definitely notice the difference as soon as its in your hands. Here are the pros and cons

Pros:
+ Video Out to your TV. Watch your UMD movies and Games on your screen. This is the perhaps the best feature of any handheld.
+ Much lighter, feels really good in your hands.
+ The D-Pad has been upgrades. Fighting Game Lovers rejoice!
+ The analog nub also feels more responsive.
+ Buttons are raised making them easier to click.
+ The LCD is brighter, has a higher refresh rate and the colors are more vibrant.
+ UMD games load faster.
+ The memory has been doubled in this unit to allow developers to build caches they can then use to make games load much faster.
+ Even games that dont implement caches, load faster due to an automatic new caching done by the system.
+ Ability to eat less battery life.
+ Daxter Game is included! This is one of the best games for the PSP
+ 1Gig memory stick is included.
+ Family Guy freaking sweet collection UMD included.
+ Price. For $200 you are getting a lot. PSP system, a game, family guy compilation, a new color, and memory stick. All for $30 more than PSP slim black. I would definitely recommend getting the bundle.

Cons:
-Yes the packaging is a bit cheap.
-UMD tray may not impress. It feels cheaper.

Amazing gaming system

I purchased this for my handheld gaming needs, I really love to play video games, and figured well, I should get this. It is pretty cool. I started using the web capabilities off of wifi- but this shouldn't be considered a full browser, as there isn't a full keyboard, and there is no touch. But it loads rather fast. But first and foremost, it was made as a game console, so that is what I use it the most for and love about it. Basically, when I owned the PS2, this was a handheld version of it. It worked excellently, and mine is supposed to be able to pair with a PS3, which I don't have, just have the PS2 and XBOX360, so haven't really been able to test this yet, but I find it neat you can manage a system from another system. My PSP is the star wars one, and I couldn't get that type to be in the reviews, but this is the closest. I've had mine for nearly 4 years now, and I am still impressed by the awesome functions it has.Lire l'avis complet...

La compra de un producto usado no es, necesariamente, una buena o mala compra... Es suerte que el vendedor haya colocado en oferta un item que no tenga problemas, que se pueda utilizar sin mas que ponerlo en funcionamiento.

Las compras de itemes usados tienen su riesgo. Es muy agradable recibir de parte del vendedor una información honesta, clara y sin ocultamientos cuando lo que ofrece no cuenta con plenas garantias de buen uso.

En este caso, el producto ha cumplido con las expectativas.

Ojala otros vendedores pudieran ver esta suerte de deseo de un comprador de cosas usadas, y que ha sido malamente sorprendido por vendedores muy poco dignos de ingresar a eBay. Lastima que como resido más fuera que dentro de EEUU, cuando recibo el item, ya ha pasado el tiempo de reclamo y uno debe aguantar el producto en el estado en que se envio, bueno, malo, o destinado a la basura. Pero algun dia podremos ser francos,leales y honestos en nuestras transacciones.

No basta pagar de inmediato. Es necesario que se informe el real estado del item.

LOVE THE PSP ENTERTAINMENT PACK

I bought this for my son. I didn't get Daxter but we did get Star Wars edition. I'm just as sure that all of them are great, depending on your favorite! I bought him a 2gb memory stick with it and a USB cord. Now he would like the grips and a case...so that is coming next. Then I'm sure he'll find more add ons. We've put songs, movies, audiobooks on it and what he likes most is that he can SURF THE WEB!!! That is my favorite part!!! :) He is homeschooled so he can do a lot of his reading right on his PSP and listen to music at the same time. Hey as long as his grades are good - I don't mind. I have an 80 GB IPOD and for the money and the fact that it surfs the web - I may have bought myself a psp instead! However the ipod is smaller and easier to put in your pocket etc... but in comparison - the features of the PSP are EXCELLENT! If you are considering whether to get you or your child one or the other look at the features and discuss them with your child. We've been able to do as much websurfing on the psp as on his laptop computer and we do a lot of research for his school subjects. I would suggest warranties and service plans because you never know...square trade has those now - so consider looking for a buyer that offers that or something similar.Lire l'avis complet...

Daxter PSP PACK

First of all...i think that the new slim psp is too small for people with big hands...ive been playing with the psp slim for about 3 hours and its way to small and my fingers feel cramped up together at times...

compared to the old bigger psp...the new one is quite flawed
1.The UMD tray on the slim looks like it can fall apart faster because the brace is gone
2.The volume on the slim isn't as loud
3. Just plain feels as if it was just going to break at times

The good thing about it is that the new slim psp
1. The screen is much clearer
2. Loading times are faster
3. Can connect to the tv
4. Internets a bit faster

Although it lacks a lot of things compared to the older model...i think the new slim still pulls it weight on functionality...Lire l'avis complet...
