For the money great value.

I bought this camera 20 years ago, since it offer a floppy disk and memory stick location.Buying film for the type work I was in was getting expensive.I had the same camera now and still working just fine. I elected to buy yet another for our real estate office to have access to it.The only draw back is it takes the older memory stick on 128MB which is getting harder to fine and lap tops that offer the slot size.Well worth the money.Lire l'avis complet...

Used Mavica with Memory Stick as good as New $1000 Camera.

One of the best digital camera's ever made. Just as sharp as newer camera's. Have several of these camera's, been using the Mavica for over 20 years. Love them. Con's: 2 drawbacks, the floppy drives are finicky, I only use removable memory cards via USB and adapter directly to PC , 2nd drawback - the USB port on these camera's cannot connect to many PC's (window's 7). Avoid the 2 drawbacks by using a memory stick only. Great camera for Photos. Forget the movie function. No one wants to see a 5 to 15 second movie clip. This is a quality photo camera only not a movie camera. Hint: I do photo sharpen all my pictures in Paint Shop Pro before printing. The difference in photo quality between these old Mavica's and a new $1000 camera is nil. $5 to $20 for a used Mavica and $1000 for new camera, this is a no brainer.

Durable and well constructed These dual media Mavica Cameras are a great bargain. The memory stick allows for trouble free recording of up to 100 times the capacity of the floppy disc. Easiest to operate, pictures go right on to a disk

Easiest to operate, pictures go right on to a disk, provided you have a floppy disk drive 3.5 in your computer or have an external drive.

These cameras are great for taking pictures to put on eBay or into digital picture frames as you can put 20 pictures on one disc.

On this particular model it has a Zoom capability and is very easy to operate even for a girl and she will not have to back up in order to get everyone in the picture. Ha ha

also has a limited video capability if you have a memory stick 128 MB

Nice Camera but obsolete

Takes Floppy Disks and Memory sticks to store Pictures or Movies.
The Pictures look Great.
Funny that a camera which replaced the film camera is now replaced
by all the digital tablets and cell phones.
But Sony made the best digital cameras and the only camera to have Macro.
I had to buy a battery, charger and install an old floppy disk.
Some of these old Sony camera come with the famous Carl Zeiss German Lens.
This is a collectible camera.

Greates Digital Camera Ever

I bought this camera when it was THE premier digital camera, back in 1998. I still have it, and still use it, with the floppy disks. Frankly, it takes better, clearer pictures of, ie jewelry items, hallmarks, etc. The detail and closeup capabilities cannot compare to any of the new/newer digital cameras. Old but Effective

I have always liked Sony Mavica Cameras, mainly because of their simplicity and beautiful reproduction qualities. Even before the FD97 and FD200 came out, I used earlier models of the Mavica. Even at 1.3 and 2.0 MegaPixels, the camera produced better photos than my 5 MP Cannon Power shot, especially on High resolution.I even won a Prize and earned an article in the Sony Glossy magazine for a photo of my little niece, wearing all her colorful rings.
What could be simpler than making some photos on a Floppy Disc and placing it straight into your computer FD drive for editing and printing? The only drawback was the Capacity of the 1.44 MB Floppy Disc, which limited the number of high resolution photos to 4 or 5 per Disc.
With the birth of the Dual Media cameras like the MVC-ND200 which incorporate a Memory Stick as well as the Floppy Disc, you can now make lots of Brilliant Photos (and Video Clips), using a 128 MB Memory Stick.
The ND200 is Simplicity itself, and has Buttons rather than Menu to select Focus lengths, Flash options, Programming, etc. I can certainly recommend this Camera to all people who want Simplicity and Good results.Lire l'avis complet...

one of the best cameras sony ever produced. my only camera i will ever use!

I Have bought me one of these one day one when they came out years ago, and refuse to use any other camera to this day! i have compared this to several 5 megapixel all the way up to 14 mega pixel cameras and took them all back to the store. they could not compare in quality. one thing that is a annoyance is the 128 meg cap on memory stick . i have bought many as backups of this camera just in case! Insurance company's still use these cameras in many parts of the USA for there easy to learn and awesome quality lens that takes excellent pics. i like the ability to take a picture of a jet way up into the air then look at that picture and zoom in close and hit the picture taking button and it takes new pic , then goto new pic and zoom in more for a full closeup shot that looks really good of the jet way up in the sky..... all around awesome cameras model #'s mvc 100 & mvc 200Lire l'avis complet...

Not a bad camera- restarts sometimes, but durable

Really good quality when take pictures, and is durable because for awhile I used this for outside use as I upgraded. I would take it on bike rides etc, and it could withstand a beating. It mysteriously stopped powering on one day it kept doing a restart looop. Basically I bring a basic phone with me that has a camera, so if I see anything exciting i take pics, but i dont normally take my reg. cam with me.Lire l'avis complet...
