Sony Wireless Headphones

I have used this model of Sony Wireless Headphones for many years. They are ideal for me.
This is why, over the years, as each pair has eventually worn out or broken, through no defect, I have ordered the exact same model to replace the broken ones, even though the model has been out of production for many years. I dread when I am no longer able to find this model.

Good Value Work Well

My Yamaha 7.1 receiver has a headphone mode that mutes the speakers as soon as you plug these Sony's in they sound great and I do not keep everyone up all night. The secret to avoid distortion and white noise is to turn the Yamaha up to 0 decibels the turn the Sony headset up to 1/4 volume they fit well and are comfortable. I did my research and these are a good value I have had wired studio quality head sets in the past and these are just as good for the average home user. Plus the unit has channels I had interference from my WiFi but switched channel and the buzz went away.Lire l'avis complet...

What works and what doesn't work on the headset

My husband had this exact model for years, but it had quit working, so we ordered this one and it would not work. He, when he saw it would not charge the rechargeable battery, hooked up his old battery instead of the new one, and now he is pleased with it. We just hope when the old battery quits on him that he can find a new battery. We have checked with the battery store here, and they do not carry that battery. Do you know where we can buy one, as this old one may quit on him and then he won't have a working headset.Lire l'avis complet...

Excellent Wireless Headphones.

I use these headphones to listen to TV when I am on the treadmill. I mute the TV so I don't bother my wife and listen with the headphones. They work great. I do not notice any stray noise when the TV is on. Volume control is sufficient that I can hear clearly. The headphones are comfortable.

The only thing I don't like is the attempt at proprietary battery and the fact that the charger isn't smart it simply charges for 16 hours if you place the headphones in the cradle. I was able to use my own rechargeable batteries by taking the Sony batteries out of the charging module and inserting my own. So I'm reasonably happy with that. I put the headphones in the cradle backwards when I don't want to charge the batteries.

Great stereo sound, comfortable, and long battery life.

These are nice. I went from cheap $12 wireless to Sony and what a difference. They were worth the money. Love the comfort and the automatic on and shut-off when you put them on your head. Also the rechargable battery is great since I was constantly feeding batteries in my old pair. The sound is great, but the volume control could take the sound up a little more. I only gave them 4 stars because of that.Lire l'avis complet...

Best 30 bucks I ever spent.

I purchased these because I was getting into too much trouble with my big Kenwood speakers. These were the solution to my problem. They work great. I get 14 hrs. of play time on a single charge. If you use the channel selector and keep the charging base about 5-6 feet high you don't get any static or breakup in transmission. They aren't quite as loud as I expected but I won't get hearing loss that way. You can connect them 2 ways, plug into rec out aux jack in the back of amplifier or into headphone jack in front. The cord isn't quite long enuf and I had to buy an extender, found a cheap one on E-bay. The price was right, about 30 bucks w/shipping. I really do like them alot. Best 30 bucks I ever spent. I listen in 'stealth' mode now.Lire l'avis complet...

MDR -RF925R

Worked for one day then quit. I changed batteries and recharged still no sound. Don't understand why but I have used the 925 system for years as I can no longer hear without turning the volume up so loud the neighbors would complaiLire l'avis complet...

Performance of the wireless phone.

I like the quality of the base. I play electric guitar and use headphones to not disturb the family at night. No other wireless headphone (and I have bought about 10 from different manufacturers which I have thrown to the trash because of distortion or poor base response) matches the ergonomics and convenience of this product. No switches to turn on or off, no wire to plug-in to the phones for charging!

Because it meets all my needs (except some static when the unit is close to a neon table light or a tube computer monitor), I bought a total of five, some for spare and some for other family members so I don't hear their youTube songs or TV
sounds. Very happy with it and I highly recommend it!

Excellent but discontinued by manufacturer

If you got this product you are very fortunate. It works very well for the purpose for which it was intended. It's too bad that many corporations have a habit of discontinuing manufacturing good products on a whim. The headset automatically turns on when putting it on thus saving battery energy when not in use. And I like that the batteries are easily accessible and can be quickly changed.Lire l'avis complet...
