I bought the camera for the power supply only. The camera was a bonus. It plays my movies so I assume it will record also. It is just like my original camera. Defective operation
On most occasions the camera doesn't operate with either a fully charged battery or the A/C connection. On the few occasions when it is "operational" the tape cassette compartment only opens sporadically. For the most part it doesn't open when the slide mechanism is activated. Fortunately I was eventually able to get it to open to retrieve a wedding tape that I had put in and saved the loss of a valuable memento.Lire l'avis complet...

Bought item as a backup unit for playing many home movies, vacations etc..
Works ok but you supply signal cables and battery. Comes with power supply. Unit is not light weight and is large.(ok for it's age).Play back is noisy with streaks on external tv. Streaks not visible on camera monitor. Remote controller works. Not stereo.Lire l'avis complet...

Perfect for what I need it for!
I needed to replace my old handycam (the eject button no longer worked) only because I wanted to transfer my old 8 mm videos onto a DVD. A waste of money
