Gets the job done

I bought the Sonocaddie V100 about a month ago, I have used it three times and it gets the job done. It is not fancy with colors and pictures, but it does what I bought it for and that is to give me the distance to the green. I tested it against the GPS on the golf cart and it was spot on. I like the fact that it is small and can clip onto my belt. All of the golf courses that I usually play are on the data base and there is just a one time fee. The only thing I don't care for the system is that when you go to the next hole, you have to advance the system to the next hole. It doesn't automatically go to the next hole, but it is not that big of a deal, because if you forget you just set it to the next hole and the distance comes right up.

Great features

Matched it with my buddy's $250.00 golf GPS and the outcome was the same. Very happy with my Sonocaddie. I also recomend signing up for the membership, it's worth it.

Sonocaddie V100

Perfect for the casual once a week or so golfer. Its all I need, distance for approach shots. Easy to use, played three rounds on the same battery charge, maybe I can get one more round on the same charge. Played on very sunny days, read it with sun glass on no problem. I only play three to four of the same course, so why do I need to spend more money to have 20,000 plus courses on it. Was well aware if I do play a course out of my group, I have to go on line to download it. Small issue for the price. It was very accurate with in- ground yardage markers on the courses I played. One can change screens to check yardage for bunkers, water etc. so you can get yardage for a layup shot.
For the four to eight times a round I use to get club distances its all I need.
Also the more expensive ones can keep your score, I have no desire to use it for a score card. Old school, score card is all I use and need. I am there to play Golf not fiddle with a hand held device.Lire l'avis complet...

Sonocaddie V100 - Simply improves your game.

I took my new V100 for a test ride today and what a difference in club selection it made. I used to rely on the ground markers and course knowledge. But without really knowing how much green I had to work with on my iron shots it was a guessing game since I do not stick the ball. The V100 accuratly displayed the "front of green" distance, which for me translated into using a club less and in many cases and that allowed the ball to release towards the hole. I usually putt "back" to the hole but after using the V100 I was a lot closer to pin high. It was easy to set up, easy to download courses, and easy to use on the course. Good buy for a basic golf gps.

Very small. You need to advance from hole to hole. It has many functions but not too intuitive. Best feature is on annual fee.

Does everything I expected of it.................

No frills but dependable

No frills but very servicable. I check my v100 against other peoples $3-400 units and it matches their distance every time.

Golf GPS

Just used once so I am still getting to know how it works. I used the yardage feature and it is very accurate and easy to use. There are other features I need to try and practice but so far it's been really, really good. It's just fun to have out on the course.
I am a little disappointed that you can only download five courses at one time and that you have to pay a fee to load more.
Sadly the GPS has not and will not improved my #&*%^$g awful putting.Lire l'avis complet...
