Love this guy & all of his books!

As usual, Carl Hiaasen writes an awesome book. I absolutely love this author being a Floridian. He puts a hilarious spin on life in this weird & wacky state, but so much of it is true. If you haven't read anything of his, run out and get his books! I am a little disappointed that he hasn't written "adult" books, but I am considering checking out his children's books.Lire l'avis complet...

Sea you again ?

Joey Perrone is thrown off a cruise ship so her scheming two timing husband Chaz can gain.... what, well you wont know until near the end and the twist is that Joey survives, but instead of going to the police she decides to have a little fun, play with Chaz's mind and ultimately get even.
I read this on holiday 2007 and could not put it down, a fantastic plot that twists and turn all the way to the end and great characters you can sympathise with and dislike in equal amounts.
Great stuff !

Review of Gratitude with Great Features of Hiassen's Said Account

Even though I HAVEN'T yet read Hiassen's said account, I recall reading reviews about it, and this says, Thanks also for that if you HAVEN'T yet read his said account, I have to say that sadly, you DON'T KNOW what you're risking missing OUT on! His said account's contents writes what I believe is a REALLY exciting and REALLY full of fun, fun, fun to read said story about perhaps i of mayhap the ultimate act of betrayal, perhaps i of the ultimate act of doublecrossing and even swimming in NOTHING but one's bday suit....Lire l'avis complet...

Skinny Dip

This is Hiaasen at his best. Its sexy, funny and takes some unusual turns. Characters like Chaz Perrone are bizarre... a scientist who has to be reminded which way the Gulf Stream flows? Ex-cop Mick Stranahan is a zany guy who lives in a house on poles out in the harbor gets involved with some tough investigating while Hiaasen gets up-to-date and reminds us how crooked the Florida BIG SUGAR industry is by continuing to poison the Glades with fertilizer....a real fact in this fiction thriller!!Lire l'avis complet...

Worth it for sure.

Fun little book. My wife recommended I read this. I'm almost finished as we type here and it's quite interesting and light.

Great Read!

This is my very favorite book by Carl Hiassen. I purchased it to read on a two week cruise and finished reading it in 2-3 days! It was so entertaining and funny - the plot had so many different elements to keep me engaged and wanting for more! I've since read it again and now I've purchased it, too, to be part of my personal book collection. Love, Love, Love this book!Lire l'avis complet...

Great Read!!

From the first page, this book is a grabber. The story line moves along and at times nothing fits together, but as the characters develope and the wild scenes are woven together, it makes for a hilarious book. From the perspective of a South Florida resident, the references to local places is fun, and the mood set about the "strangeness" of the people here is right on target. Enjoy this book.Lire l'avis complet...
