Attain and maintain an organized home and life with this book

I used this book in younger years when I had children at home and it was EXCELLENT. I recommended it to a multitude of people then and I still do now. I lost my book and needed to replace it, therefore I ordered it. This book will help those who are not organized and orderly in their home and life to achieve a goal of having an easy to keep home and schedule. For those who think they are neat and orderly, it will help in creating an easier method of keeping up with things especially housework and the time spent in accomplishing those tasks. In a hectic and sometimes chaotic world our time becomes consumed with everything around and the little things such as housework, laundry, birthdays, anniversaries, etc. get lost or delayed due juggling schedules and tasks. This book helps minimalize the thought process of what to do and when to do it, thus allowing and maintaining a schedule that is effortless and automatic. The 3 X 5 card system used in the book is simple to create and use as well as change when certain tasks become routine in a daily schedule. An individual (or family) can alter the duties to fit their lifestyle even for those who work. If you work outside the home and have a family - I highly recommend this book to assist in achieving a schedule that allows all the household tasks as well as personal and family tasks to be accomplished regularly. My children are all grown now, but they still remember "The Silent Butler" (you will have to read the book) that used to come around and take stuff that wasn't put away. They have even used it in their own home to teach their children to put things away and keep their bedroom clean. Each of my children grew up learning how to organize their personal belongs as well as time thanks to my reading this book when they were little and implementing the ideas within my home. Although the book talks about being a wife and mother...it is just as important for men to read as it would help them achieve an orderly life as well. Sidetracked Homes Executives are on the right track

I love the story that these two sisters tell. I think most of us can relate to the disorganization that can over take us so easily. I truthfully bought this very same book about ten years ago and I was using it faithfully so I know that it works. After a two year illness I fell away from the program and now I need to get back in the groove. I found myself buying index cards and starting to 3x5 it again. Yes, it was high time I bought this book and started over. It is a great way to clean up your act both in your social, home and work life. This is the funniest and best way to get anyone out of housekeeping chaos!

I bought this book in 1983 and followed the 2 sisters' method exactly. It is really funny, and keeps your attention while working out the card method. It changed my life because I actually had time to take a craft class that was the start of a 20 year career selling my creations retail and wholesale. I also had extra time for my family!
I decided I needed a refresher course, so bought this book again. I am glad to have a guide to help me out of the housekeeping and scheduling chaos I find myself in 28 years later!Lire l'avis complet...

It wants more words but it’s simple effective and not hard to implement.

Throw away all the other books you've bought on home organizing/cleaning

This book will never go out of date. If you struggle with household chores this book is the answer to your prayers. I read it when it came out and just wanted another copy now to share. Have been using Pam and Peggy's card file system for years. A revised version of this book exists but this one is still the prize.
