Fun summer movie

A cute movie which evokes the nostalgia of youth of another era. Well-acted by 80's "it" girl Phoebe Cates, Bridget Fonda is also good as the preacher's wild daughter, and I love Page Hannah, whom I prefer to her sister, Darryl Hannah. I don't know why she didn't become a bigger star. Just a nice teen movie reminiscent of American Graffiti. It's sort of a Southern version of that, as it's set at around the same time, the early '60's. Great music and a time when life was much easier

Great movie

Good soundtrack on VHS. DVD soundtrack is different. You'll like this movie alot. I just need 100 characters before it takes this review so ignore this sentence.

Fun sweet movie. Brought back memories to when I was that age. The music if great, I learned to Shag from the movie. My daughters loved that movie as teenagers so I had to add it to my library.
