This mic is an affordable alternative to the MKH 416, it records very high quality audio. My only complaint is that it runs through batteries like tic tacs, although the phantom feature on some cameras would solve that problem. Excellent Microphone

This is the best microphone in this price range and better than many more expensive microphones. I also love that it has a battery and I can connect it to the camera and use it without phantom power.

An excellent shotgun mic

This is my second Sennheiser MKE600. I love these mics. The quality is wonderful and they pick up sound in a large room with excellent clarity.

Good sound for the price

Good all-arounf shotgun mic. You can use it on phantom power instead of the internal battery. Either way good sound for the money.
