DYING was never so FUNNY~ Hudson & Day SHINE~

PLOT: VERY GOOD Married tale Rock Hudson as a HYPOCHONDRIAC WHO THINKS HE IS DYING~ so his good wife (Doris Day) sets out to make his last days on earth his best UNTIL she believes this is a clever plot to get her mind "off" HIS affair she believes he is having~

Handsome HYPOCHONDRIAC HUSBAND Rock Hudson has a medicine cabinet full of 'pills" for his every complaint~ you name the ailment he has it OR "wants it"~ while on yet another trip to the Doctor he over hears.. "he is dying" and ASSUMES THEY MEAN 'HIM" but the fun is the Doctor (Edward Andrews) gives him more "sugar pills" ....placebos) and sends him home...he IS FINE~..

so DYING '....HUDSON decides he needs to find a NEW Husband for his soon to be WIDOWED (wife Doris Day) so he beings "search" ~ADD Tony Randall as the neighbor BUSY writing the eulogy for his "dying' best friend~

mean while HUDSONS suddenly "suspicious" activities lead DORIS to believe he is having an AFFAIR SO HE TELLS HER THE bad "NEWS" HE is "dying".... Day believes him. Coddling her Dying husband is all she can think about~

When the good Doctor shows up and tells Day her husband is NOT dying ...SHE MAKES HIM "WISH" he WERE DEAD BY THE TIME SHE IS DONE WITH HIM~ cute funny and silly~ Add Paul Lynde as the Guy who sells Graves and Clint Walker as the Handsome second "husband" for Day and this is a fun way to spend the afternoon~

I GIVE THIS A SOLID 7 OUT OF 10 FOR HUMOR AND FUN~

Hudson's Hypochondria Leads to Hilarity

Send Me No Flowers (1964) is the third of the three Rock Hudson-Doris Day romantic comedies. This is a very funny movie about a hypochondriac (Hudson) who mistakes a terminal patient's diagnosis for his own and is convinced he really will be dead soon. So, Rock and his best friend (Tony Randall, who also appeared in all three Hudson-Day pictures) seek out a man to replace Hudson as Doris Day's husband after Rock has passed on. It's a hilarious story which only gets funnier when Doris discovers the truth about the diagnosis mix-up. There are great performances from Day, Hudson, and the inimitable Randall.

If you like Send Me No Flowers, also check out the Hudson-Day comedies Pillow Talk (1959) and Lover Come Back (1961) and Come September (1961), starring Hudson, Sandra Dee, and Bobby Darin.

Hilarious!!!

This movie is wonderful!!!
Rock Hudson, Doris Day and Tony Randall are all really funny in this movie. Especially Rock Hudson... He is a hypochondriac to the tenth degree!!! It's great!!!!!

Very Funny!

A comical departure from the dramatic norm for Rock Hudson. Great performance also by Tony Randall, and Clint Walker is a larger-than-life hunky action hero.
