Another great Adult Swim show

Sealab 2021, a show making fun of a short lived show back in the 70s, is like Cartoon Planet but with Sealab. A show that lasted for 4 years and passing the number of episodes of the original show. This and the second season were the best (and I never saw any episodes in the 3rd, 4th or 5th seasons) ones. Who couldn't forget the great, psychotic and racist Captain Murphy? or the innocent Dr. Quinn? or the idiot known as Stormy Waters? This had great episodes like Happy Cake Oven or When Captain Murphy was crushed and trapped under a soda machine and having a scorpion as a pet and giving him venom to live. also includes I, Robot, the episode where everybody except Dr. Quinn talk about being a robot, and Stimutacs. the title say's it all!

Ive been an adult swim fan since i stumbled across the first show. I enjoy the way the writer's take old serious cartoon's and turn them into undated character's and cartoon's are supposed to be funny right? These show's are intended for adult's but are in my opinion are for anyone especially when compared to family guy which is hilarious but very adult oriented and it's a prime time network show. Sealab is just slapstick comedy that's fresh and watchable,in animation form. I don't think it's in production anymore so that makes these dvd's even more collectible to the fan's. Along with space ghost, brak show, aqua teen hunger force, harvey birdman, squidbillies and other's being created by these fantastic writer's and animator's are in a league of their own. The quality of their effort's are to be applauded. If you're ever down in spirit, just turn one of these show's into a player and all the bad vibe's will disappear within five minute's! You can't help but to laugh and it don't stop when the show's over! It will lighten your spirit and your day.Lire l'avis complet...

Funny first season, plus this has some extras on it!

Sealab 2021, what an odd show. It's hard for me to describe what's so funny about this show, but it is definately funny. I guess it's because the characters are so different, but they're not really like real people you could relate too. I mean, that Capitan Murphy guy, man, he's out there. This DVD set goes through all of season one. There are some extras with it that have the original pilot episode, as well as some alternate endings that never got used for some of the episodes, though the extras aren't all that great.

Overall, you're not going to be buying this for those few extras, but for the show itself.Lire l'avis complet...

Archer fan? You owe it to this show.

A legendary show that revolutionized a format established with "Space Ghost Coast 2 Coast" and "The Brak Show." While these early episodes are undoubtedly clunky, they are also historically important.

Sealab 2021 is a Great Adult Cartoon!

This show has been a long time favorite of mine. If you like Adult Swim on Cartoon Network, cartoons for adults, this season is a must. Episodes are 15 minutes long, and usually end with the Sealab blowing up. Great voices and silly plots. I think this is one of the strongest shows that Adult Swim has come up with, as it started in 2000, and is still very popular. Has great one-liners that my friends and I enjoy quoting. Why Sealab rocks

Its sealab whats not to love about it with off beat charchters and funny sketches based on old 70's cartoons. I think this might be one of the best purchase I've every invested in. I used to watch this on AdultSwim.com but it took to long to load everytime and i would rather just be able to fast forward through the title even though its pretty catchy to get to the real action.Lire l'avis complet...
