I Spy, 4 PIcture Riddle Books

We love this book. It keeps my kids entertained for hours, especially my 3 1/2 year old. As the "little brother" he hasn't had much to call his own yet, until he discovered I Spy at our library! Now he can't get enough of it. I'm thrilled that he's found something that he's very good at doing. This book is challenging, but not too difficult for non-readers because all of the clues have their pictures next to them. Since this book is a compilation of four separate I Spy books, my son doesn't easily get bored with it. It's a great companion for long car trips!

My 5 1/2 year old also enjoys it. He is a beginning reader and the word clues are the perfect level for him (he will be going into 1st grade this fall). The picture clues are very helpful in getting him to recognize the words he doesn't quite know yet.

Great book for early readers!

This is a great book for any child that is starting to read or for any preschooler to get them started reading early. It's a hard cover book so it holds up well. The words are in a nice size print for those adults that have eyes that aren't what they used to be. The pictures are like all of the I-Spy books. They are beautiful and imaginative. I SPY books are a great way to get your child excited about going to the library. The only problem with pre-K and Kindergarten age groups is that they can't do I SPY very well without adult help. Well, this books solves the problem by offering pictures (along with the written word) of the items to search for! And the puzzles are colorful and varied. My 3 year old loves these books....and he never gets tired of looking for the hidden objects! He also tries to read the words next to the pictures, so it is a great pre-reading book as well
