Screen size for web surfing and reading ebooks
OK, so the tablet is great. Everything I expected after reading reviews. I had been using a nexus 7 so the screen size was the biggest difference.
This is the wider screen size (in portrait). Which is great fit reading ebooks and surfing the web.
It is not as optional for watching movies or videos as it is not in the normal wide screen format your used to when watching videos.
If your primary reason for the tablet is video you should probably get a tablet with the aspect ratio for video.
If you will be using it for reading and web surfing, using word or excel, this is the tablet for you.
It updated to Android 6 marshmallow as soon as I connected to the Wii Fi.
Probably won't get nugat (Android 7) as Samsung doesn't bother to keep their tablets updated to the newest OS after the first year they are released.

Very nice tablet but
There is no doubt that this is a very nice tablet for the money. Speed has not been a factor. Screen quality is great. Battery life is good. The only downside is that it won't play some of the newest games. Otherwise I would have given it 5 stars.Lire l'avis complet...

Definitely a step up from the Tab A
Got this as an upgrade from my Tab A. Nice screen resolution and double the ram are the most noticable improvements. Also had more storage and fingerprint scanner.
It's hard to find a good 8 inch Android tablet these days but the Samsung Galaxy s2 8 is still a good value 3 years later. Runs Android 7. Not the latest but it's got all the good stuff like multi window done well for any app.Lire l'avis complet...

Good but
I love it well worth the money bought it because it was cheaper than getting the screen fixed only disappointment is the OS doesn't upgrade didn't realize there were different models of the S2
