Nice Low Price Camera
We purchased this camera for our college bound son. He wanted something to be able to share his new college experiences with. I wanted something that wouldn't be a problem if it was lost, broken or stolen in an environment that would be unpredictable.
For an inexpensive camera, it takes nice pictures. This would be a good camera for kids or just to have while biking, camping or other places where you don't want to risk taking expensive equipment.
It uses two (2) 'AAA' batteries, so be sure to bring spares. Having a couple sets of rechargeable batteries would be good. The SD memory card offers a nice standard method of moving your pictures off the camera and onto your computer. You can also bring along a couple of spare SD cards and just swap them out to keep shooting.
The size of the camera is comfortable. It's not too small, but it's not terribly bulky either.
Overall, this is a nice low price camera. Just don't expect more than it's capable of in picture quality.Lire l'avis complet...
takes nice pics...
I bought this camera (used)when my nikon 4100 started to act funny. It takes very nice pictures- on the average. I thought it would be able to do more as in close ups; but it doesnt. If you are taking the average pictures, its great!
The only con I see is that you have to open the battery door every time you want to get the SD card out. (As anyone knows,those battery doors tend to break easily when opened excessively). But all in all, still a very nice little camera for the price.Lire l'avis complet...
Good pictures from an economical camera.
Samsung has come up with a good design in the SL30. What I particularly like is the fast response time of the camera. When turned on, it is almost instantly ready to take a picture. The camera also focuses on the subject quickly when the shutter is depressed half way. It is important to allow this focus process to occur to obtain the maximum picture quality and fortunately it is fast. The automatic setting is producing good quality and sharp pictures. The flash is effective and results in a well illuminated picture. The pictures are sharp and there is a HD 16X9 frame format which is great for landscapes. Yes, it does exhaust the two AA batteries fairly quickly but this seems to be a characteristic of CCD cameras as opposed to CMOS cameras which use less power. But the CCD cameras seem to produce a superior photographic result. To save power, turn off the camera between shots. Since it comes back on so quickly, this is not an inconvenience. Always use a lanyard on your wrist with this camera so as not to drop it.Lire l'avis complet...
Sanding SL30 10.2 MP Camera
I like the picture quality and ease of use. It also has alot of great features. The only bad thing I can say about it is it dosen't come with rechargeable batteries and it seams to use up AA batteries very quickly. This is by far the most intuitive, easy to use, point and shoot camera I have ever laid eyes upon. I didn't even need the instruction manual to learn how to use the menu features...it's that simple! If you are a more experienced camera user, you will also appreciate that the auto features can be set to manual, so that you can set your own exposure options. This is a good camera. Photograph quality is good for 10 Megapixel cameras. Its menu is easy and useful. Its dimensions is bigger than digital cameras because of using AA battery. I LOVE the easy use of this camera.The SL30 takes professional looking pics.
I have tried several other digatal camers but this is this best by far. I would recommend this camera for the pro and the person just starting out.
The clairity is wounderful.
The cons are it eats batterys,use ones you can recharge also you need to use SD card as only could save 5 pic without it saying memory full.

Love the picture quality! I decided to buy it because I misplaced my old digital camera and it was about 10 years old so I needed to replace it anyways. I would recommend using rechargeable batteries in it as I have read that previous reviews say battery life of the camera is questionable. I have not used standard batteries on it so I cannot accurately comment on that, but once I got the rechargable batteries fully charged, I have not had any issues whatsoever with battery life. I love my Samsung
I migrated from a Minolta 7000 slr 35 mm after being disappointed by an HP 3.2 MP digital camera I bought a few years ago. I've been living with this second digital camera and I'm loving the pictures I'm getting with it and the battery life is much better than the HP or the Minolta. If you can get one of these little gems, JUMP ON IT! you won't be sorry! They don't cost an arm and a leg and the images are spectacular. I LOVE mine!
