Compressor saver
These start assist should be on every AC unit that they can be used on....They save electric cost, help keep the compressor from struggling against high starting torques and are a great selling item when they are explained to customers....
They install easily and I recommend them to anyone and everyone running service or just wanting to make an AC unit more efficient...
These start kits can add years of service to a unit....Especially if coupled with a time delay to prevent short cycling...A perfect combination....
Bottom line......I will buy and install more.

Quick fix for abused compressor
My old 15000 BTU wall unit began tripping the time delay on the circuit breaker when starting. This fixed it. Installation was just a matter of attaching the leads to the H and C terminals of the existing run capacitor and finding a way to secure it.Lire l'avis complet...

Great booster.
This booster works! My geothermal scroll compessor was making a clunk sound during startup with a loud buzzing noise. This booster, plus a new start/run capasitor fixed the clunk noise and has quieted the buzzing.
I recommend it.
FYI: Where I live, it would cost $60 for the part plus $90 labor for this item to be installed.
You can easily install it yourself.

IT SEEMS TO BE WORKING?
This item is supposed to take some of the "electrical stress" off of your compressor by giving itban extra "boost" on Start up. It may be my imagination, but I swear the compressor does not have the same loud tone upon starting like it did before. If you can use common tools, installation is a snap. Boosts compressor starts
Easy 2 wire connection to current run capacitor. Doesn't matter which goes on each side. Each side usually has 4 spade connectors to use, just use one of them for each wire for each set. Also has relay that let's it kick in when other cap is triggered.Lire l'avis complet...

cheap way to improve factory performance.
Placed on two different Dometic ac's (13.5k btu and 15k btu) on my toy hauler 5th wheel. Both were originally equipped with only run capacitors. So this should allow the compressors to start more easily and quickly. So far they work as expected. Next summers heat will provide the real test.Lire l'avis complet...

Awesome little piece of hardware!
My AC compressor had intermittent starting issues before installing this. It could run for hours, stop and then not start again. It basically started when it wanted to, not when I wanted it to. Since installing the hard start, it's start everytime immediately. I love it!Lire l'avis complet...

7 amp drop on 5k BTU
This item worked good. I have a 5k btu window unit running on a power inverter. start up amps showed 21 amps for a split sec. and with this capacitor on and it now shows 14 amps. 7 amp drop not bad in my book. was wondering what 2 would do. but nice cheap 7 amp drop.Lire l'avis complet...

Great addition to any AC
It works great as soon as installed noticed a much quieter cold start of the 5 ton AC The inrush current is reduced as well and the lights do not alter at all since the installed SUPCO
