GE oven bake element

This is for WB44X5082 for GE Hotpoint Self Clean Range Oven Bake Unit Lower Heating Element. I’ve used it a handful of times and so far it’s working flawlessly. Very easy to install and even motivated me to clean the oven.
What was difficult was determining if this element would fit. My oven is 33 years old and I couldn’t find a part # for it. I went by “brands that it would fit” and dimensions. The distance between terminals wasn’t listed with the rest of the dimensions. I had to deduce the distance from the diameter of the element. It happens to be 1-1/2 inches on center. It fit perfectly.
It got here in a reasonable time for Hawaii. It was well packaged. Very reasonably priced. I would buy another one hopefully in another 33 years ;)Lire l'avis complet...

Good product. Great price!

This is a non OEM brand but it is of high quality. The installation is simple. Two screws to remove old burner from oven back and two screws holding on wires. CAUTION: Your oven has 240volts of electricity and will cause possible serious injury. Turn OFF circuit breaker and unplug oven if cord is accessible. I would recommend both. New burner is exact fit and installed easily. It would be nice if new screws were supplied on new burner to attach the wires. Sometimes the old screws can get ruined and are not usable. A little smoke after turning on for first time but this is normal. Heating elements are usually coated in a shipping oil to prevent rust and corrosion. It was $30 dollars less than local parts store. Heats quickly and evenly. Now my wife has no excuses not to bake.Lire l'avis complet...

Perfect fit to replace my original oven element.

This element is a perfect fit to replace my original oven element on an old GE double oven. The seller recommended the part number after the GE support line gave me wrong information.

Easy install

Easy in and it works fine. About 5 seconds of light smoke burn off on first turn on. Normal. Save old screws, they threaded in better. Don't lose wires. Tie a string to each wire and onto top oven rack until wires are secured on new heater. Have fun, you can do it.Lire l'avis complet...

After-market product works fine but is smaller diameter.

This fits and works fine. Don't be mislead. on this one. It was made by Backer Industries. It is not a GE. It is an after market product. So don't be mislead. The only thing I noticed about it is that it is a smaller diameter than the original one so I hope it will hold up. Check to see who made the one you are thinking about buying. Not the right part.

It is the wrong part so I can't use it. It may work fine in the right oven, just isn't the right part for my oven. The prongs are further apart on my oven.

plugged in and worked great.
ive had to order other places for the same thing in the past and to date this is the best place to get an unbent working replacement.
