If you Love SRV, then pick this up!

This 4-disc set is a SRV enthusiast's dream. Because of his untimely death, we only a limited body of work to enjoy, so when they pull out some alternate takes and unreleased songs or songs released with other artist, one gets to hear new aspects of his musical richness. Along with alternate takes of some of his most awesome songs are some real gems and rocking duets. This really shows SRV's great diversity and great talent. The first three discs are full of unreleased goodies, alternate takes and some really awesome sound checks. The fourth disc, a dvd, is an unreleased Austin City Limits footage disc, which is awesome. Here you are able to see upclose some of his blistering finger work and just how truly talented he was. He even breaks a string in one of the songs and gets a new guitar and doesn't miss a beat. It's really amazing. SRV was truly one of the great guitar players of our time and his genius and ability shine through is this excellent offing of the late genius work.Lire l'avis complet...

Please Release ALL of the Stevie Stuff!

This box set is a must have for blues fans and SRV fans. Even if you have all of his songs already, you need this because you know how Stevie almost never played a song the same way twice. Included is of course the DVD of the Austin City Limits outtakes. There are about 5 more songs he does on this DVD which is nice. But, if you go on YouTube, anyone can see there is a ton of vintage SRV video out there that has NOT been released to the general public. Maybe Sony is to blame? Best deal ever

This was in really good shape. I could tell CD's have been played, but not much. All sounds good. I can tell the DVD had never been played. The box and pictures are Brad new looking. Very thankful for the good deal.Lire l'avis complet...

My husband is a long time fan of SRV and thought he had everything the man ever recorded then he ran across some music sites that mentioned a few songs he had not heard he then tried to find them on a every music website out there and had NO LUCK so when he purchased this box set he was happy that he had finally found those songs he'd wanted here...then the CD's arrived and he was floored to find a couple of songs he had NEVER even read about that were recorded on this set! so if you are or know a Stevie Ray Vaughan fan this is a MUST HAVE for their collection- Oh and to all the word police out there please over look my miss-spellings I'm a wife and mom w/ a college degree but I still can't spell to save my life :)Lire l'avis complet...

Great CD Box

SRV has quite a few CDs out with studio and live versions as well as other box sets but this is the best IMO. It includes live performances and as well as studio recordings. It has a lot of the old songs I have always enjoyed. You will not be disappointed.Lire l'avis complet...

SRV Box Set 4 Discs

As a die hard Stevie Ray fan, this box set ROCKS!!!! It includes everything from the early days to the time that he left us.
I absolutely LOVE IT !!! The 4th disc is a DVD from the Austin City Limits show in October 1989, this to me was a must have, because the DVD from the show doesn't give but 6 performances and this DVD helps round out the incredible performance, the man was simply amazing! And as far as I'm concerned, he has NO EQUAL ! Simply the very best guitarist to walk this planet. If you buy it, you won't be disappointed.Lire l'avis complet...
