Great Capture Card

Everyone always says that this capture card produces low quality footage or that the software crashes, well I am here to tell you that this would not be the case. I have recorded footage for over 10 hours in total since I purchased this device and never got a slowdown or crash at all. The only minor annoyance is that you will have to use a separate software to record voice overs when capturing console footage and that a slight audio delay exists due to this being a USB 2.0 device like all other capture cards, you would still have the issue on 3.0 and type c is dead.

The software is amazing far better than what you get with other devices, of this type, can edit videos in it although if you want to really edit then I would suggest purchasing some good quality video editing software like Cyberlink Power Director.

This device outputs in 720P 60 fps, 1080p 30fps and 480p. although I use for most things 1080p if a game runs at 60 fps which on consoles is rare then i use 720p for smaller file sizes anyways.

About 30 minutes of a game with a good amount of action on this device is going to run about 2.7-3.5 GB in size which is pretty small that is also at the maximum bitrate that is supported by this device 15mb. It encoded in M2TS or MP4, i recommend MP4 for small video sizes and the best looking footage, you can live stream with this device but it is not as good as other capture cards for this task as you need to use their software and its not very good for live streaming but that doesnt matter to me as i dont stream. My internet is not good enough.

I would highly recommend purchasing this device on a budget, beats all the off brand chinese junk and its really good for what you get paid $68 for mine thats a steal for this if you find one starting around even $89 dont hesitate to buy it.

Just be warned you need to provide HDMI cables.

not a source hog and I love it!

I want to say, people suggested me to get an Elgato and be done with it, but you know how much the Elgato cost?? plus look at the specs, if you have a low-end PC, you will have issues. I got an i3 PC and I need something other than record gameplay footage, but to stream as well, so I choose one of the top three capture device. I use to own the Avermedia Live Gamer Portable before it was struck by lightening. Now I got the Roxio Game Capture HD Pro. It's something I can do, I can stream retro games, but you need an AV to HDMI converter to make it happen.

Anyways, the Roxio Game Capture HD Pro provided me what I really want! HD streaming and recording, and it does better with OBS Studio which I use, too bad it's not capable for OBS classic, but at least it's worth streaming.

If you have a low end PC and want HD streaming or record gameplay in 1080 resolution, then this device is just for you!

Simple

The instructions that come with this make it easy to learn how to set up, and once it is setup the stream quality is very nice.
