Fairly worthless

The onboard software seems to be so outdated that this old Roku hardly runs any apps/channels. All I have been able to use is 720p Netflix and Pandora. There is no support for the unit and you can't use Roku's Channel store. I got it to use with my old HD TV which only has component video jack's. Since the newer Roku units won't pass the HDMI signal through my converter (used for years with DirecTv) this old HD Roku seemed to be a solution. Roku Rocks with S-Video Connection!

This is a great little unit if you have an older TV like myself. I purchased because I did not want to upgrade my TV, but wanted streaming capability. I also needed one with an S-Video connector. My TV only has two HD inputs(Component/HDMI) and they are both being used. S-video was my only other high quality option, and it's not bad. I looks really good for what it is. It was a good price for the product.

I bought the Roku because I don't have but a few tv channels, so it helps me to get Netflix etc. I very much like that it is small and works fine....now. What I did not like is that when opened it up to put batteries in it the remote it had batteries in it with battery acid all within the remote, I cleaned up what I could and hope it remains working. I would not buy this particular Roku again, only because of the shape of the remote, but it is working fine after a good cleaning.Lire l'avis complet...

Great for Component TVs. Works Fast. Some apps no longer supported.

Works well. I needed something to add smart features to my old tv that has component connectors and not HDMI. This works. The apps work fast, but it seems not all apps are being updated for this device so make sure the apps you need are still compatible. this product is outdated, is not supported by Roku, has no use other than paying for netflix. In short, a waste of money.

Could not hook it up in our daughters room due to it being hdmi and only connected to an ethinet cord not wireless

No longer supported. Will not function at all.

I purchased this to pair with some older CRT equipment but it can no longer connect to the Roku servers and therefore is totally worthless. There is nothing to do with this but trash it
