Gordon is a survivor of the fittest kind!
For the most part, I enjoyed this book. Gordon Ramsey has survived a horrid upbringing, literally worked his way to the top and has excelled at what he loves. He is surely to be admired.
I didn't feel the book itself was the easiest to read or the best written, but the story behind it is amazing.
Any fan of the TV series Hell's Kitchen,or Kitchen Nightmares, or even anyone aspiring to become a world class chef should definitely read this book, so you'll know the story behind the man who has become a culinary legend.Lire l'avis complet...
Great book!
Some people don't like Gordon Ramsay because of his aggressive ways and blunt choice of words. I think he is brutally honest in this book and on TV, says what's on his mind and some people just don't want to hear the truth. Great book and well written. Gordon has taken a not so pleasant childhood and become one of the top chef's in the world. I admire this man and the book shows his passion for his work and life and his compassion for others.Lire l'avis complet...

Excellent read
This is a very revealing book about a man most love to hate because if his kitchen antics.
Chef Ramsay grew with the odds against him. His father was an abusive alcoholic and Chef Ramsay grew up very poor.
This is his own account of how he beat the odds and has become a five star winner of the Michelin star.
I bought this book for my son, I really didn't care for Chef Ramsay, he reminded me of my own relatives and how they acted towards me.
I have a whole new respect for Chef Ramsay now.Lire l'avis complet...
Great insight
Great details as to why the man is so driven.
For being so transient in his early years he seems to have been the
winner. Abusive father co-dependent mum.
Obsessive to not be like his Father but you can se his father in him as he
trains chefs everywhere.Lire l'avis complet...

Roasting in Hell's Kitchen
If you like or dislike Gordon Ramsay you owe it to yourself to read this auto biography of a man who cares what and how he cooks and is honestly a decent person and surprisingly enough,a compassionate person. It might surprise you! Filled with the F word but so is he!Lire l'avis complet...
