Mediocrely Powerful.
Let me say this: I expected to go into Road to Perdition as a graphic novel. What I got was a book with illustrations. Don't get me wrong: the illustrations were spectacular, and the story was captivating.
But for some reason, I feel like I've heard it before. (Not just the movie with Tom Hanks, this is a totally different take on the story) But the book is so similar to all of the other mob stories out there. Lots of gunfights. Lots of business. Lots of respect. By the end of reading it, it took me several minutes to even decide if I'd liked it. I came to the conclusion that, although I did like it, it was not worth the $14.00 I would've had to pay for the retail. For as cheap as I got it, it was enjoyable.Lire l'avis complet...
Road to Perdition
Even Mickey Spillaine had good taste in writers ...Max Allan Collins is at his usual peak.
