Expensive! With a weak daytime camera.
First off, this doorbell is HUGE. It's about the size of a small car and you screw it onto your door frame.
Now picture that....with a pretty blue ring around the button.
The video during daylight hours, especially when the sun is shining right on the area where the doorbell is pointed at is so washed out that you basically get a white screen.
When you get a motion alarm and go to view it, the video processes for about a minute before you can actually see it and by that time, who knows what might have happened.
Also, live view takes forever to connect, but once it does it's kinda cool. I like that you can talk through it. I use it to mess with my dog and stray cats in the area.
Night vision is good on it though.
There is also a $3 monthly fee to store videos on the cloud...for ONE ring doorbell.
the more you have the higher the cost...why they couldn't have included a micro SD card slot and let you view your videos from THAT, I don't know...but whatever. This thing isn't really $200 bucks..you keep paying for it.....
Maybe later versions of RING doorbell are better, but I'm not spending a crazy amount of money to try and find out.
Seriously though, the cam needs some serious adjusting.

Worth the purchase
This camera is perfect for renters, or home owners who don’t want to make the camera permanent with wiring, or don’t want to mess with hard wiring. The doorbell works perfectly in sync with our alexas, and you can set motion detection to different sensitivity based on your location.
The unit does take a total of 8 hours to charge, which is a downside. But the battery does seem to last a couple weeks.
There are some phone connectivity issues, but our other video doorbell was similar.Lire l'avis complet...

Have not used it yet because of extra parts needed.
The product came in great shape. I have not tried it yet because of the previous owner has release the owner ship to me so that I can program it to my wi- fi.

Ring's the thing.
It took me a while to load apps, charge the Ring's battery, but simple to install. Had to buy an indoor Ring ringer, extremely easy to add to the mix. Even if the app isn't active, when motion is detected, a Chinese-chime-like sound occurs on my laptop and/or phone. Nice addition.Lire l'avis complet...

Great Product.
The only addition would have been to have internal recording, otherwise, I like it. I can view all activities, "live" or go back and check for any day, via my phone or tablet.

Perfect!
First... The packaging was impeccable! Everything was packaged to perfection. They even included a small box with all the tools you need for install. I was very impressed.
Second...Installation was really easy. I am 83 yrs. old and hard wired it in 5 minutes.
I still haven't figured out all the usage stuff, but I'm getting there.

Great value
The only slight flaw is we have an outdated router on our internet connection. We get an awesome picture and motion warnings and everything, just can’t get good sound. I believe it’s our internet and the distance though. I think it’s a great product.Lire l'avis complet...

Doesn't hold up in normal use.
I've gone through two of these in a year and one half. The first fell apart with the decorative cap falling off the button after six months of use. Ring insisted in sending me a replacement under the warranty. About 9 months later the replacement quit working with my wired doorbell. It also stopped doing the "Live View" mode because it could no longer recognize that it is on the circuit with my doorbell. Tech support and I ran through several tests and confirmed that the device is defective. Because it was out of warranty Ring won't replace it. 18 months after original purchase I'm replacing it with one from a different manufacturer. Ring is a good idea poorly executed. I really wanted the device to work. I'd suggest checking out the Nest Hello. It offers better image quality and a faster response time. The warranty is double that of the Ring.Lire l'avis complet...

Easy to use, many ways to set up.
Can be hardwired or use the battery, it works both ways. You can set sensitivity, you can block areas to not detect, very versatile for a video doorbell. There are three modes to set it on, Away, Home, or Disarm. It is nice to disarm it when you are sitting on the front porch, that way it's not sending alerts and recording. You can also go into the app and turn alerts off but still have it record video, many ways to set this up and not difficult to change things in the app. I love the easy use of this app.Lire l'avis complet...

Refurbished is the New New!
I was concerned about buying a refurbished product. Not only can I not see anything wrong with it, but I took the chance because I could send it back and get a refund if I did!
