Great trailer, beautifully made, but boreing.

I had big hopes for this film after seeing the trailer. The trailer was far better. Visually the film is great.
A woman's husband dies and she has him brought back to life. Like "Gremlins" certain steps must be followed: Never remove the mask, keep the corpse off the ground for 7 days, ... Of course this doesn't happen and so evil old spirits are now loose in this building. The building seems to be a ratty apt. building and it represents to whole world- I guess, it's a little confusing. Now the evil must be battled. {This is where the: "Mr. Vampire" similarities arise.}
The F/x are spectacular but limited. "Rigor Mortis" is worth seeing but don't bump any movies that you're dying to see for this. And try to watch some old oriental "Mr. Vampire" films or Shaolin exorcism films, first.
Much of this film is very artful with its F/X. And that's what saves it. Alone with the star [at least he seems to be the star] always dressing like Jeff Lewbowski- aka: 'The Dude'- when he's buying milk at the grocery store. See "The Big Lebowski" for that.Lire l'avis complet...

The movie was unwatchable

The speech from the characters was so out of sync with the mouth movements that the movie was unwatchable. My only question for other customers is if they had the same problem. My tv set is hacked by a cyber criminal who lives next door. He can intentionally cause the speech to be out of sync.Lire l'avis complet...
