Another excellent FOTF Radio Theater production

As an already established fan of the Radio Theater "Narnia" series I was expecting to enjoy this rendition of "The Screwtape Letters". It exceeded my expectations. Andy Serkis (Gollum from the "Lord of the Rings" movies) does a wonderful job as Screwtape and hearing the voices of the other characters adds a welcome dimension that is normally missing when these are read as merely letters. The comments by Doug Gresham, songs inspired by the book and an actor portraying C.S. Lewis reading the forward and afterward were very enjoyable added attractions as well. Focus on the Family hits a home run with Screwtape Letters

Wow this is an incredible story! If you have never read or listened to CS Lewis The Screwtape Letters you should. It’s about us really and all the temptations we face daily. This particular version is done in a dramatic style by Focus on the Family. Well done! Screwtape is a head demon and Wormwood is his nephew and an in training demon. Just like listening to a movie! I am really enjoying this inventive way of storytelling! A five star cast (including the actor who played Gollum in "The Lord of the Rings" as the leading actor), with sound effects, music & a behind the scenes special documentary. Creative, thought provoking imagined glance into the schemes of the demonic against human kind. Safe for all ages to experience. And it really makes you think about life & how we react to daily situations. Packed with very useful lessons for all ages to learn & a lot of fun! Highly recommend!!! with the wonderful writing of C.S. Lewis and this extremely talented cast, it was beyond all expectations! A must for all who have loved C.S. Lewis and those just getting to know his writings.

I've had a heck of a time reading anything and being able to maintain attention. So, after trying to read this book, I gave up and looked for an audio version. I found that, but also this dramatization version. I'm glad I bought this. It was easy to listen to and to follow. The sound effects and other fillers complemented it all very well.
