Better than advertised.

It is better than advertised. Two discs plus some movie stills of the stars on the set when they weren't shooting. This is a must have for any true fan of Classic Westerns from the 1950s.

Great actors with great acting.

My all time favorite western. John Wayne, Dean Martin, Walter Brenan, Ricky Nelson were a great team that brought some good comedy. You can't go wrong with the Duke and a western.

So much entertainment in just two hours!

I purchased a DVD of "Rio Bravo" because it is the most enjoyable western ever made. It has as it's leading man the one and only John Wayne who later would win the oscar for "True Grit". Co-starring are two fine singer/actors, Dean Martin and Rick Nelson. Rounding out the supporting cast was multiple oscar winner Walter Brennan and the lovely Angie Dickinson. This movie has everything you could ask for including blazing action, romance, laugh out loud humor and some excellent songs from Nelson, Martin and Brennan. As John Wayne as it gets

John Wayne felt that he had been snubbed for the Gary Cooper part in High Noon. Wayne called High Noon "Unamerican", but then accepted the Oscar on Cooper's behalf. Fast forward seven years, and Howard Hawks is producing and directing Rio Bravo. At last, John Wayne can tell the story his way.

Wayne, Dean Martin, Walter Brennan, Claude Akins, Ward Bond, a young Angie Dickinson, and an even younger Ricky Nelson form a wonderful cast in the telling of an old west fable. How good will always triumph over evil and how the fallen can be redeemed. Even though the story line is cliche, it is handled with a touch of humor and a sense of hopefulness.

We even forgive the elements of the plot that make little or no sense. "Let's just say that Dude and I are the only ones that would testify" (to the murder). Wait, the Duke was knocked cold by Dude with a piece of firewood. Dude had just been punched unconscious by Claude Akins. So how did either witness the murder? Oh well.

By the end, the drunk has become sober, the fallen woman finds a good man, the bad guys are in jail, and all is right on the Rio Bravo river. Certainly worth a viewing, as it is sure to entertain viewers young and old.Lire l'avis complet...

Great movie.

One of John Wayne's best performances. Dean Martin is amazing. A classic western. The DVD arrived in good time and quality.

Great Movie!!

I really Enjoyed watching John Wayne’s movie. I will be looking for more of his movies to add to my John Wayne Collection.

Love Rio Bravo

Rio Bravo is my favorite John Wayne movie. My VCR eat my VCR tape so I had to order a DVD.

I have seen it over 100 times and I keep watching it, it is that good.

This is one of my favorite John Wayne westerns.
