I'm a cat- I mean, a prince!!!

I loved this game. But um... what thing that I noticed while playing it was that all you did in this game was just climb and climb and use acrobatic moves to get from here to there and do ridiculous amount of work to juet from one room to the next only to repeat the same process. The puzzles are fun but once all done, it's the same puzzles, just in a different room.

Anywho, that's really my only complaint about the game. Well, actually, the graphics could be better (Final Fantasy X was two years before this game and that game, an RPG, has way better graphics than this game) but that's minor.

Alright, off to really cool things about the game. Stealth Kills. Some times, fighting is freakin hard. But if you sneak up to someone and press the buttons at the right time, you could kill an enemy really quick and without any health lost. And stealth requires good skill; any game that requires good skill, I love it.

But what if you don't like being so stealthy? Turn into the dark prince (at given moments in the game) and beat the crap out of everyone with amazing combo moves! ONe part of the game I had to go against like twenty of these ogre-like things. I studied the combo moves on the instruction manual and then trained my fingers. I beat those wimps under 3 minutes. Dark prince is amazing. Except for the fact that his health slowly deteriotes unless he finds sands of time, which are everywhere around the game.

The storyline is a lot clearer than the previous two games and the puzzles, I think, are a bit more challanging. But still, they are easy enough if you play this game enough.

But if you ever decide to play the game on "Hard", god damn, your health goes down so fast and the bad guys are unrealistically tougher. There's this boss battle where you have to fight a humongous axe guy and a huge sword guy and unless you don't get hit more than three times (sooooo hard), you are screwed. "Hard" is very, very unrealistic.

OH, I also forgot another thing cool about this game. You can rewind time! or do slow motion! Very helpful.

And at some points in the game, you ride a chariot and run over bad guys and ram bad guys' chariots into the walls. It's really fast-pace and exciting. It's a bit easy compared to the rest of the game, but it's still hell of a fun.

So if you like mazes (climbing and climbing like a cat) and puzzles and good hack-and-slash action, don't miss out on this game.

Prince of Persia 3, TheTwo Thrones

This is a well-reviewed game that lives up to its potential.
Combining the storylines from the two previous games,
this game pulls together the loose plot lines and finishes the story.
Storywise it might be helpful to have played the first game,
but it's not required to have played the second. You do get a lot
information in flashbacks.

Controls are the same as before, with more time powers becoming available
as the game progresses. Stealth kills, rewind and haste are all useful.

The environments are complicated with difficult acrobatics required-
no surprise there. In some cases it was troublesome to find the path
through an area, and many bosses required complicated plans with
pinpoint timing to defeat. I recommend the guidebook or online guide
unless you want to spend a lot of time reloading late in the game.

Beautiful scenery, good cut scene animations, likable characters.
Voiceovers can get in the way of concentration once in a while,
but the voices are good. Music doesn't detract.

An excellent game with strong story, good graphics, and challenging tasks.
Relatively minimal blood (except yours if you touch a saw blade)
and you never fight humans. Slight disturbing imagery. Suitable for
most players - teens and up surely.

Prince of Persia: The Two Thrones PS2

Excellent game and story. love the "quick attack" and the dark prince with his weapon (brilliant). also the diagonal jumps and and all the obstacles. Great and unexpected ending. I did'nt like: the volume of the voices is too low. also, the game is too dark, sometimes you cannot make a distinction of the graphics-this take out the fun. I was expecting to face a boss with the dark prince. Sometimes the angle of the camera made impossible to see what is going on. If the purpose of this was to increase difficulty, it is a bad idea.
Thank you, I expect to see another POP.

The two thrones

What can I say. Ubisoft lives up to its reputation for taking a classic 2D game and making it into a compelling 3D action adventure game.

If you've played sands of time and Warrior Within you may not notice too much of a difference in the acrobatics of the game (there are a few new cool moves like the dagger wall stab). This time around the prince comes home, you play dual roles, the good prince and the corrupt dark prince. The dual persona aspect is interesting simply because when you play as the dark prince your health meter slowly decreases, making it a challenge of time to reach your goals. One interesting dimension that was added to this game was a kind of racing aspect in that there are chariot chases and evasions, this was a huge leap in improving gameplay. Not only do you have to race through the streets of towns but you have to evade enemies and obstracles at the same time.

As in the other two games. the sands of time are used to rewind, slow down and serve a variety of cool effects. One big improvement that I found was worth noting was the graphics. In Warrior Within the environment was gloomy and very cloudy looking. Two Thrones maintains this ambient environment with even crisper graphics than before.

All in all this game is an improvement over previous versions, gameplay is tight and the graphics are crisp.

A Great Ending To The The Trilogy

The reason i got this game was because my younger brother is a fan of the franchise. After he played the previous installment he wanted to know how it ends and he wasn't disappointed. He plays it for hours and really enjoys it. On the other hand i am not really into it, probably because i haven't played the previous installment. I think its necessary to play the other two games to really get comfortable with this game. There are some new features like the speed kill and and you get to play the dark prince(that's really fun). The graphics are not bad and the gameplay is pretty good too.Lire l'avis complet...

2 Thrones

This was a very good game to round out the trilogy. I think that overall, warrior within was a better game, with better levels, interaction with environment and pace. Two Thrones, however, introduces the speed kill system which is a refreshing addition to your combat reportoire. I also liked the Dark Prince levels as well as the Chariot races, both of which were great changes of pace from playing as the regular Prince. Two Thrones also seemed shorter than the other games. I recommend at least playing Warrior Within, if not both prior games, before playing Two Thrones.Lire l'avis complet...

Picks up where it left off

Prince of Persia the Two Thrones picks up where the last game ended, the Prince has returned home only to find it under attack. After finding out that its the Vizier from the first game, the Prince starts another quest to take his kingdom back. The great thing about this game, is the combat, puzzles, and story. The games story plays at a good flow and it never gets boring. The combat had been enhanced with stealth kills. Also the addition of Dark Prince is a great one. As Dark Prince you can take down your foes with powerful attacks. The puzzles once again are not too though and are fun to figure out. The only thing bad about the game is its a bit on the short side, and pro players at the Prince of Persia games will have little problems running right through the game. Prince of Persia the Two Thrones is a great ending for the Prince's story.Lire l'avis complet...

a EXCELLENT trilogy endding

Keeping the combat mechanism of Warrior Within, Two Thrones introduces the hit sequencies like God of War by using techiniques like SolidSnake. In other words: if you want to kill your enemies without being noted and easelly, you have your chance, our continue to massive combat face to face with them like in WW.

The music returns to classic type (reactivates the Persian age music like Sands of Time)
The face of the prince and Kaileena (the new girlfriend of WW) in the movie sequences are diferent - I don´t like it, they are a little ugly in my oppinion - of course it don´t make difference in the game!

I still don´t understand why they choose Babylon for the homeplace! Bagdad is Persia!! By the way, Babylon was a place of evil...

Returning to review...
This game have more linear story as SoT, but still good.
A lots of environments to burn your brain.
Hours of action and acrobatics.
New moves, new weapons, and a double point of view as the Prince and the DarkPrince.

Finally, a good conclusion for the tale of the Prince of Persia.

PoP:The Two Thrones

Overall, this game is pretty good and can keep you occupied for a good bit. However, frustration does come into play a majority of the time. Camera angles are rough for some battles and even general 'exploration'. Some of the physics aren't quite on; sometimes depending on the camera angle again. Some death falls are absolutely horrible. Like Prince dies from a fall from the height of a swing set, if that. Voice acting is alright. Some animation seems sped up. If you're a fan of the series, feel free to check this one out. This is my first Prince of Persia game since the original PC release many, upon many, years ago. It's a decent introduction to the series for a first timer.Lire l'avis complet...
