My Favorite Kitchen Appliance
Have been using one of the Salad Shooter's for years. Unfortunately we lost it in a house fire. I mainly used ours to make pan fried potatoes, with onions and kielbasa sausage. You can slice your potatoes and onions very thin and uniform with the Salad Shooter. Take most of the work out of the preparation for me. I use a large electric skillet and load it to the brim with potatoes, onions and smoked sausage. As it cooks it will cook down some, so don't worry about too much in the skillet. Anyway, the Salad Shooter comes apart super easy and washes up very quickly. I love it and will always have one around. Thanks Presto and Target for the Great Product!!!

A fine little gift
I bought this salad shooter as a gift for my daughter, but she hasn't used it yet, so I used it myself to see just how it worked, and how easy it would clean up. I have only made sliced potatoes to fry up so far, she is usually complaining about cutting her knuckles on the shredder when she makes hash brown potatoes, and I really liked this machine so well, I decided to buy another one for myself, as I am just so tired of the old style shredders too. Now maybe I can start enjoying making better dinners for myself. I really like this machine, and it is so simple to clean up, and then put back in the box to keep it clean and safely out of the way until needed as I do with all my electrical items. I do recommend this as it is very reasonably priced and this seller really gets on the ball with sending your items out to you. I also recommend the seller as well as the product. For more than just salads!
We've had one of these since the mid-90s and only recently had to replace it. We use it when making pizza or to handle small slicing needs (mushrooms, in particular). To be honest we didn't expect to like this when we received it as a gift, but have found it very useful for tasks that are too small to justify taking out the full food processor, but larger than we want to do by hand (or need to be done too quickly -- like three or four pizzas).
This is not difficult to clean by hand, but is, of course, very easy to clean in a dishwasher.Lire l'avis complet...

Replacing one that broke
My girlfriend had the original for many many years up to a point that one of her daughters' friend broke, so had to buy a replacement. She swore up n down on how durable and versatile this item is for food processing. This product is not made for serving big dinner parties, but just for small family like meals. It's basic use is for shredding potatoes into hash browns or heads of lettuce for salads/coleslaw. Makes for speedy process instead of the old fashion way with the knife and cutting board. A great addition to the kitchen
Wonderful tool for our needs. We grow zuchini and what a pleasure it is using this salad shooter for shredding and slicing,and then we freeze alot also. Shredding block cheese has never been easier and convenient as with the shooter, plus the cheese is fresher when you shred it in your own kitchen. Saves time works fast
I love this thing so much ! I used my other one ALL the time for shredding cheese and cutting pretty vegies in exact thicknesses. It saves time and my arthritic hands. So easy to clean too ! I couldn't find another one in any store, so I turned to eBay and got one just like new, even with the instructions ! My ex took my other one when he left, even though he never once went in the kitchen other than to EAT in over 40 years ! Boy....I sure missed my salad shooter !!! LOLLire l'avis complet...
