Great Author, Good Book

Another excellent series from my favorite author. The Shannara books are some of my favorites of all time. That being said however, I wish he hadn't blended the series with his more contemporary Word and the Void series. Too many real-world settings and hokey earth-mother religious themes get in the way of the pure Fantasy nature of the series. I found myself wishing for the old Shannara Fantasy world and disappointed by the lack of explanations and background events that tie the two together. All in all, a good read. But I really hope the series gets back to its roots in the next installments.Lire l'avis complet...

If you like elves and wizards, you will love reading the Shannara series. Terry Brooks has captived the world of magic and characters in the most amazing way.. This is a great read!
