Excellent book recommended for the core curriculum

This was a practical book narrating about the lean management and its application on two levels. One with lean on Accounting department and other as lean accounting concept of using Value stream costing, value stream mapping, cost associated with the customers value or benefit for the product, practical elimination of overheads and also resolving disputes with the overhead allocations and registrations. This book has given excellent examples to explain the concepts in different depth and breadth. Brain maskell has proven his knowledge and his experience on the understanding of Japanese concepts and it was most important task he has undertaken in publishing this work to the world of accounting at large. Most of traditional costing methods were considered as appropriate and no alternative have been suggested, Account researchers from every corner of the world started thinking on the different concepts in allocation of overheads and its justification.
Brains lean accounting has given us simple solution for this big confusion of eradicating the traditional basis of allocation and adapting value based costing might yield a good result for the organisation and will also help the organisation to achieve their desired cost reduction in realisable senses. Being a research student i was inspired with the examples and practical cases given by Brain in explaining the concepts. I would appreciate if in the revised version he could bring in more case studies and analytical problems and solutions to the students so that this book could be used in the core curriculum text book for the students.
