This movie was part comedy and part "stupid" drama. In all, it is a waste of time that is boring and has no merit at all. It is a typical film festival work.

As implied by the name, the film's plot takes place within the Polish American community of Hamtramck, Michigan at some time between the 1950s and 1970s.

Jadzia is the matriarch of a family of five children, four sons and a daughter. The household also includes the eldest son's wife—a Syrian-American whom Jadzia calls a Gypsy and who also works with Jadzia—and their child. Jadzia is (somewhat) happily married to Bolek, but is having a long-term relationship with Roman. Dysfunctional family

Not very representative of Polish life. Not even a good movie.

A long time favorite movie of mine

Love this movie, the actors, and the music. It is entertaining & fun to watch.

Good Shipment, Bad Movie

The disc was sent promptly and in perfect condition. It was still sealed in its plastic covering-for a reason. I love Claire Danes, but this definately the most boring and pointless movie I have ever seen. I don't feel that the purchase was a total waste because I collect movies and it was sent in mint condition, and Claire Danes is my favorite actress. However, even if you think I might be wrong-I'm not. Its an hour and a half you'll never get back.Lire l'avis complet...

Polish Wedding

This movie is not without it's imperfections; it is rather slow and the plot seems to be going absolutely nowhere at times yet, the honest portrayal of the family is so stunningly dramatic that I often found myself just staring at the TV screen in disbelief (both good and bad). I can see why many of the reviewers here are infuriated and while it can be a little too much, Polish Wedding is realistic: the eight year old soon is addicted to cigarattes, the beautiful wife is an adultress and the rebellious daughter seems to get away with everything.Lire l'avis complet...
