Not a fantastic game, but still a good one, and a great sequel

PokéPark 2 isn't a game that will blow you away or leave a lasting impression, but it is a very good example of a good sequel. The original PokéPark Wii was a very simple, charming game that I enjoyed quite a bit, and Wonders Beyond honestly takes just about everything from the first game and refines and improves it. Multiple playable characters, an expanded upgrade system, more in-depth combat, a surprisingly decent OST, a much more prominent and compelling story, and some nice graphics for the Wii all make PokéPark 2 that much more of an enjoyable experience. It's still simple and it still has a ton of charm, but everything is just...better. (Except the controls, but using the Wii remote's D-pad for 3D movement was a problem I had in the first game, too)

All in all, PokéPark 2: Wonders Beyond is certainly a game I'd recommend, so long as you're not looking for a deep or intricate game that you'll sink a ton of hours into. Probably not worth full retail price, but a solid purchase if you can find it at $40 or less.

MUST HAVE IF YOU ARE A POKÉMANIAC!!

The game begins with Reshiram and Zekrom conversing, seeing that a dark omen is going to befall on the PokéPark. But Reshiram sees a light among the darkness and feels there is still hope.
Pikachu has journeyed to a new PokéPark with his best friend Piplup. Almost immediately they are introduced to the new and fascinating Wish Park, which are access through portals disguised as posters, known simply as Poster Portals. Wish Park is spoken as a place where the fun never stops. However, they find that the Pokémon there really are trapped and cannot leave Wish Park. A sleuthing Oshawott comes to the rescue before they too are bewitched, but Piplup ends up trapped after saving them. As they are transported back to the PokéPark, Pikachu is momentarily in Reshiram's dimension, and Reshiram shares its knowledge of the impending doom, and informs Pikachu that he can save the PokéPark. After returning to the Cove Area, Oshawott and Pikachu team up to solve the case and save the trapped Pokémon. They seek out the Krokorok who opened the Poster Portal for them, so that they may learn how to open the portal. Once back in the park, they learn that ringing a Wish Bell will bring all the Pokémon out of their trance. They manage to ring the bell and free all the Pokémon in the Cove Area, and then decide to explore the other Areas to spread the word of the circumstances for entering the Wish Park.

Multiplayer
Unlike its predecessor, PokéPark 2: Wonders Beyond features multiplayer capabilities. Each attraction is capable of having up to four players competing against each other for the highest score.
Interchangeable team
The player is able to switch out their Pokémon for others in their team, consisting of Pikachu, Snivy, Tepig, and Oshawott. Each Pokémon has their own special abilities: Snivy can double-jump using Leaf Tornado, Tepig can crush large boulders using Flame Charge, and Oshawott can swim across bodies of water. These are necessary for exploring some Areas, and some locations. Player Pokémon cannot be swapped during a Skill Game, or in certain areas, such as areas with a fixed camera, or when a Pokémon is within talking distance.
The player can also call upon other Pokémon while battling when their health has depleted a great amount. The Pokémon are only Pokémon found in the respective Area, and tend to be chosen at random. They can only be used once in a battle.
Locations

PokéPark 2 takes place in a new region, also called the PokéPark, filled with new areas: Cove Area, Arbor Area, Crag Area, Tech Area, and Arcane Area. There is also a new Park: the ominous Wish Park. Each area is governed by an Area Keeper, except for Arcane Area.

Good game

I bought this because my son was watching YouTube videos of game-play and decided he wanted this for Christmas. So I went hunting and took a gamble on ebay with a used game that was decently priced. Although it didn't come with a manual, it came with a case and there was no scratches, just some smudges that were easy to clean. The game seems to be working and the kiddo is happy as can be to receive the game he has been dying to play. Great condition for a used game, definitely worth the purchase. Thanks!Lire l'avis complet...

A good game

A good game for younger kids or nostalgic teens. Very different from the mainline Pokemon games - a nice change.

A game for those looking for something different from Pokémon

I played this game as a kid back when it came out I have to say it's still a lot of fun as an adult. Definitely worth a play if you're looking for a more casual pokemon game.
