Great hard rockin' album from semi-obscure band

I remember hearing about this band years ago. I actually forgot about them until a year ago when a friend of mine mentioned that he had gone to see them at a small club.

This album contains some very catchy hard rock tunes that will make you yearn for late 80's early 90's rock scene. The single from this album, "True Believer" is a gem and is very uplifting. After giving this CD a few listens, I could not help but notice that the lyrics seem rather "christian" in nature (a lot of references to a higher power, etc.). While I normally do not enjoy music that tries to push any religious view, I found the songs very enjoyable, catchy, and not too over the top with their "religious" themes. Some songs are down right rockin' at times and may impress even the most skeptical hard rock fan.

Lillian Axe is still around today, keeping their flame burning. This particular album represents the band at their commercial peak (1992). The album is very hard to find nowadays, so eBay and Amazon might be your only methods of tracking it down. If you enjoy old school melodic hard rock, Lillian Axe's "Poetic Justice" album will be right up your alley.Lire l'avis complet...

Axe Attack

Well. I ve always liked Lillian Axe a lot ever since the first time I saw em at a local club back in the 80s. Stevie Blaze is in my opinion a fantasic guitarist who may be a bit under rated. An undiscovered diamond. Ive heard a lot of more popular guitar players who cant touch Stevie Blaze. The album is 80s metal rock done in a way that only Lillian Axe could do it!
