Excellent product, excellent price

The best signal range of all my phones (handheld cordless and headsets - 5 total). Best voice quality. Good function selection. Comfortable headset - wearable for 8 hours without discomfort. Very good battery life - double and quadruple talking time of other units. Durable - this replaced the same model that lasted 7 years.Lire l'avis complet...

Go ahead buy it and enjoy your life, because life is so short my friends !

This set is a very good design with new technology Dect 6(higher frequency, better clear sound, and you can use the phone longer distance from the base charging unit). It has auto select channels ( this feature help to sort out other people's phone line with the same frequency, then you can hear very clear )not like the old model CT12 that you have to change the channel by hand after you hear the bad mix up frequency with other people. This set help you keep up-to-date with technology, not only enjoy your life as much as you can, but also reach out and tough someone.Lire l'avis complet...

Plantronics Phone Unit to the Rescue: Why did I wait so long?

I love this little phone. For the past ten years I have dealt with over the counter, fall off the head, headsets. The Plantronics clings to my head, fits in my pocket, or clips to my pants. I can prepare dinner, wash dishes and clean toilets while talking to my mother without worrying about the phone or the headset tumbling into the water. A distinctive ring allows me to locate the phone in a split second and the charge lasts forever. I am extremely happy with my ebay purchase.
The Plantronics unit was recommended by a friend two years ago, I regret not following his advice sooner. Thankfully, I kept a note in my drawer with the information, and put in the order several weeks ago!! I am a happy camper talking on my cordless phone.

Small, incremental improvement over CT12 is still nice!

I work nearly exclusively from my home office for a national company and spend hours on the phone most days. The CT14 was mostly purchased because small, reliable cordless phones like the Plantronics CT12 quickly become indispensable. The CT12 is now about three year old, so a backup seemed to be in order.

Having two reliable phones is a luxury. Considering that both the older CT12 and the new CT14 are each limited to 100 numbers in the phone book, the second phone will be handy as a dialer, as well as for those rare days when I run the battery down completely on the primary phone.

In the short time the CT14 has been in service, the additional menu features seem likely to be helpful, but come at the cost of requiring more keystrokes for some features. Not a huge issue, but noticeable.

The new freedom from microwave oven interference is nice, but the CT12 was not horrible in that regard, only experiencing a small amount of added background noise in my experience. Your mileage may vary based on your microwave. Ours is a conventional oven combination wall built-in and probably well shielded compared to range hood or stand alone models.

The instant, rather than delayed mute feature is useful, but the extra second or two needed to mute the CT12 seldom inconvenienced me. We have no screaming children in the office or that delay might have been an issue.

There is still no "Wait" feature when programming numbers to be dialed via the phone book. Instead, like the CT12, there is a "Pause" feature. Each pause inserted consumes one of the limited keystrokes available and yields about a 2 second delay. This is often not quite enough to ensure reliable use with conference systems requiring a PIN.

The timeout on the display is still the same short time that sometimes frustrates when you are creating new phone book entries, have to find some detail to continue, and lose your partial entry when it times out.

The ability to save numbers from the Caller-ID and redial list is welcome, but there is still no way to clone an existing phone book entry so that you can add numbers for people whose names are already on your list. Considering the effort needed to enter some names, that would be very useful.

Sound quality remains excellent and the battery life indicator will probably be handy. I do miss the blinking led on the microphone boom that signals to others that you really are "on the phone". Still the less expensive, unlighted boom circuit in the CT14 reduces the faint noise the power pulses to the LED sometimes contribute on the CT12. Not a big deal, I hardly noticed it until I tried another (non-lighted) headset, The headset was intended for a CT14 actually, so now there is a spare headset as well.

Overall, I am pleased with the CT14, but not overwhelmed by the improvements compared compared to the CT12. If you don't experience significant microwave interference, you will probably be just as well served by a CT12.

Excelent product a little expensive but wort it

Mute buton that is not loved on youtube reviews cause is not in a good place. I think is there because is easier to use when you are on call without to see the dial pad. Batterie worked for more that 8 hours without chargeLire l'avis complet...

Great Step up from a CT-12 !

I have been using a CT-12 dual set-up for a bunch of years. One on the base unit, and one to use/carry all day, when at home.
The 12 has no battery level, unlike the NEW CT-14. The '14 has more Last Phone Number You Called Redials in it's list, if you are calling several people in a day you can still just push the REDIAL button.
Of course there is the total lack of microwave or radio interference. Greater range at home, if you locate the base in a proper spot. I've had this for a month and am still finding new fearures. I may buy another handset, so I don't have to pay attention to tha charge level each night at bed time. Can't wait for Chirstmas to give as gifts. A few times I have gone to the store/etc. errands still wearing this, it is comfortable ! There are several ear/head-sets that work very well with these phones. Go for this.
