Well, I loved the fact that you can use Video IPod to play your movie which is pretty cool actually. THat's the main reason I wanted to buy this product, but after receiving it i couldn't play it.. the power turns on but the screen remains blank. I can hear the DVD noise but nothing on the screen, so I returned it. I think its because refurbished item therefore it didn't work which is unfortunate because i spend extra $20 for 2nd day shipping and I'm still waiting to find out if I get get that back! Overall, the product seems nice, yes the downside of it is that the battery cannot be removed its factory installed. But the IPOD feature makes it up, I think...Lire l'avis complet...
Philips DCP750 7 in. Portable DVD Player with Screen
For the money, it's a pretty cool player. Very simple to use. The battery life is ok, seems to last over 2 hours. The battery does not charge while the player is use, the power switch must be in the OFF position. It seems pretty sturdy and a nice size and weight, and the sound quality is fair. For better sound quality use ear buds.
The only real disatifaction I have with the player is the pic quality varies with screen position. Quality varies from super sharp to terrible horizonal lines. If this keeps up, I'll have to return it.Lire l'avis complet...
Great picture, poor audio
First of all, my philips DCP750 is refurbished, but it looks like new so I got a great deal for it.
I just have a week with it and I saw a couple of movies (one on DVD and the other in DivX) and both look great, but I have to say that sound is not great at all. Actually is pretty poor, so if you have some problems listening, this is not a DVD player for you.
At the same time I bought this one, I got a used condition- Durabrand PDV-709 to my little daughter and in many ways Durabrand it's better than Philips, especially on audio.
Anyway, I would recommend Philips DVD player because it can plays DivX, SD cards and iPod directly.Lire l'avis complet...
Philips DCP750 demo unit
This product is great except for the internal battery. The picture is awesome, the unit is a good size, has an ipod dock, good sound. Only problem is the crappy battery that doesn't charge anymore. This was a demo model, so I shouldn't complain. With a high capacity external battery supply, this will be an awesome unit for the road. Without it, it still serves the purpose I purchased it for. Great for kids and trip
I bought this DVD player to entertain my 2 year old on a long plane flight. It had all the basics and was priced right. I wasn't expecting too much and got more than my money's worth. My son was entertained and I was lucky enough to be on a plane that had plugs in between the seats so I never had to lose battery. I did feel like the battery lasted at least 3 hours without the plug. Probably my most pleasant surprise was that the screen flips around. A curious 2 year old pushes a lot of buttons. Since I could turn the screen around the little guy couldn't reach any buttons and it moves the screen closer to the viewer. We've used it 2 months now for lots of trips and we feel satisfied. If I were looking for a powerful DVD player with super sound.. this would not have been my choice. I would have spent more money and gotten the high quality. Great Product
I bought this DVD Player about two weeks ago. It is a great product for the price that I paid. Very easy to use and having the remote make using it in the car much easier. The battery doesn't last very long but since it has a plug for the car that isn't a big deal. It has a great picture and is very easy to use. I love that it has an SD card slot so you don't have to carry a bunch of DVD's around that you could loose.Lire l'avis complet...
A lifesaver for a 2 year-old on a road trip!
I bought this DVD player for my daughter to use on a car trip. It saved our lives and sanity. This is a simple to operate player with a great picture, and it is the perfect size for our toddler. I thought the screen might be too small but it's not for our use. Older kids may want a little larger screen. Finally, I got a great price for this...well worth it.Lire l'avis complet...
Great Easy to Use DVD Player!
This player is super easy to set up, just plug in and go. I fooled around with the remote for a few minutes and figured it all out quickly. The only thing wrong is that it was supposed to play my videos I made from my digital camera. It wasn't compatible I guess so it did not play them. Never again...
I had to return my first one for an exchange. It worked fine for the first couple of movies and then wouldn't read disks. The second one I recieved as an exchange reads the DVD's sometimes and others will not load at all. I bought this for my 2 year old daughter for road trips/vacation. We ended up buying a seperate cheaper DVD player about half way to our destination because it wouldn't load (...and you can imagine the patience and understanding we got from our 2 year old that our DVD player was defective). The IPOD dock is neat, although only our older gen. IPOD works with it. Requires a special cable for the newer IPOD to work with this product. Although the product is a reman the appearance of the item is not 'like new' or anywhere near. Case is very scratched up and notedly used.Lire l'avis complet...
Philips DCP750 Portable
I use this product mainly for travelling because it meets perfectly my expectation:
1. Light and easy to cary
2. Support DVD, ipod and SD which are very popular and convenient
3. Screen size is perfectly good for watching on air plane
I went thru some other product which either more expensive or lack of features.
