I haven't played any other pet games, so I can't compare. Basically, you early "ribbons" by performing tasks with your cat. You must bond with it by grooming and general care. The more you do, you increase your level and earn more items like different food, clothes and toys. You also need to do stuff like take photos of your cat wearing specific clothes in various positions and get your cat to climb to different areas. There are some things that a young child can do but they might need help with reading. It will keep you occupied but some may get bored. Great Deal

My daughter wanted this game and it was pretty expensive in the store. She was disappointed we didn't buy it then and she was using her own money. I told her we would try and find it cheaper. We looked on e-bay and even with shipping it was cheaper and she saved money. She is only 9 and learning to search deals now. She has Pets Dogs 1 & 2 and this very similar except with Cats. Bought Petz instead of a Webkinz stuffed animal(...where your activation number is only good for year, then you have to buy a new toy.)
