Patapon for PSP

To some it might seem like Parapa the rappa, or some of those other ones from years ago, but this has a little more strategy and skill to it than those. You have 4 basic sequences you use, so it is not just repeat after me. You have to decide what is the best tatics. You get to control a small tribe of eyeballs. Yes eyeballs. You use the button sequences along the way is how you get to control them. You earn ka-ching (money) and buy new recruits along the way. You have to decide if it is better to attack, move, or defend. There are also other little mini-games that are more like Parapa the Rappa. It is a little tedious at times, but it is so easy to learn, but very hard to master. I could put this game into almost anybodies hands and they could play it. Getting them to stop might be a little difficult though. I got hooked on the demo and bought the game.Lire l'avis complet...

Patapon (PSP) - Addictive and fun!!

What a fun game! Bought it for my 8 year old son and asked him about it, and when he tried to describe the game play I had to play it myself to figure out what he was talking about. You kinda take the roll of a God that uses drum beats to order the Patapons to do various things such as march, attack, retreat, summon rain and wind..ect. SOunds simple enough, but with the different obstacles and enemies, coupled in with different types of Patapons to choose for you missions make this game very addictive and intermediately challenging. Brand new

Came sealed, no scratches, cheap, and most important an awesome game. I played this when it first came out, brought back a whole lot of nostalgia. Great work, great game, great value.

A very fun game with great gameplay!

I heard that this game was a rhythm game, in which I love rhythm games like Rhythm Heaven and PaRappa the Rapper. This game has gameplay that I had never seen before. It's Patapon.I mean its not non-dairy creamer or vegan eggs. Do you really need a reason to not buy it?

Great Game

I bought this game after playing the demo for it. I have to say it was a new way to play a game. The rhythm based gameplay is truly innovative. I enjoy playing this game. With that said, the game can be frustrating to play sometimes. So if you feel that you are rhythm impaired I would advice you to cushion your PSP when you play it. lol I know I have wanted to throw mine a few times. Unexpectedly Enjoyable--I recommend!

I decided to buy Patapon because gamestop.com rated it "Editor's Choice." I do not regret buying this game in the least. It's goal-oriented and fresh. I've never played anything quite like it. You must, must, must have a sense of rhythm for this game! If you are terrible at Rock Band or Guitar Hero, you may want to consider not buying Patapon, for you will become frustrated quickly. Paatapon for PSP

Patapon delivers what you would expect from a rhythm-based RPG title. With vibrant music and artwork, it is impossible to put down at times. However, I feel this title is unfortunately limited to a small demographic of gamers. If you don’t have the time to continually keep up with your patapons and continue through the missions of the Metropolis, then you may not get the full game experience.
