Better than expected
I come from using for the last years Panasonic 3mos full HD 60 p camera, therefore, my expectations were higher.
This camera provided much more than excepted in all parameters, it's very easy to use, video quality is breathtaking and battery life is ok.

Best Camcorder we have ever had!!!
We did our research before buying this camcorder and we're pleased beyond our best expectations. We used it the entire soccer and football seasons for our son and could not be happier. I picked this model because of its lowlight features for Friday night football under the lights and it was phenomenal. We are not professionals but found it very simple to use and the results were stunning. The film was so good from the recording under the lights, we had the coach upload our film for his Hudl account. Even with the stands vibrating from fans, all shots were steady and clear. Some Tips,,,
I think this video camera is a good fit for a regular home movie and sightseeing tours. I realized that this camera is not 100% for my specific purpose, I should have purchased the one with the eye-piece view finder. I pushed the "Record-Stop" button accidentally while I was recording, and missed the recording opportunities. As some other customers also mentioned, the location of a microphone jack is accessible only when a view finder is open. I think it is inconvenient. Extra batteries are always helpfull to have. I wonder if this camera accept memory chip bigger than 64G (According to the specifications, it says "~64G", but it must be an old info. When this camera was first released, most of chip was up to that capacity). I may try ones with bigger G,,,,,Lire l'avis complet...

Nice little camcorder with some great features.
Very nice camcorder. Only used it for 2 sessions so far so I really need more time to play around with it. I don't really need 4K yet but wanted to have it in case. The HD video is pretty good but not as good as I had hoped. I'm still playing around with settings so I might be able to get it better. I'm primarily using this indoors with photo light boxes. I've read I can film in 4k and down sample to 1080 for better HD but haven't tried that yet.
I used a Shure SM57 in the external mic input and yielded much better sound than internal mic. Headphone jack is great to have but it outputs at a slight delay, like a slapback.
I did hook it up to an ATEM mini to check HDMI streaming output and the quality looks very good there. Nice clean HDMI.
Overall, Im happy with the purchase. Used is the way to go as I don't feel it's quite worth the $899 most retailers are selling new for.Lire l'avis complet...

Cheaply made
Body made of cheap plastic! Image quality is ok when recording outdoors on a sunny day or indoors with lots of light but not clear image when light is low. Too many steps to go from recording to watching video to looking at pictures. Also too many steps to switch from recording videos to taking pictures. Great camera
Near Hollywood quality. I'm a YouTuber that doesn't just throw it on a tripod and leave it. It's moving around with me and slow mo mode is excellent. Microphone is about average with little operating and handling noise. Picture quality is excellent and still images are among the best I've ever seen with any camera in general, period. Fairly easy to figure out, it does have an extensive menu which is tedious but I understand menus keep hardware controls to a minimum which saves Panasonic money. Great Camcorder 2020 Update
Like all Camcorders you need to set it up . They are like computers and when the manufacturers wake up and make them easier to use their sales will sky rocket. Using the included manual which is only half helpful it takes about 3 hours to set it up so you get the best results. Full auto IA is not the way to go, it seems to cause a shaking while searching for auto focus. I found the Beach Scene
and Sports Scene set up in the AVCHD setting to be the best and can be played on non 4K equipment with great results. Once that is done it's without a doubt the best camcorder around..and easy to use., 4K only works on 4K receivers but recording in AVCHD and MP4 is spectacular. I have watched a lot of U TUBE comparing this Panasonic to Sony and Panasonic wins hands down. One problem ,, 4k capture is limited to a 64gb card it will crash on any larger sdxc card. I have done many tests on 128gb and 256gb and it crashes and loses everything after about 20 minutes using the best sdxc cards available. 2020 update Amplim 256GB SDXC 60 and Lexar 1667X cards now work great in this camcorder without any problems and eliminate the shaking and auto focus problems. Overall a good camcorder
Cons: If you record in 4K, there is no easy way to play back the recorded video on your 1080p TV without connecting the camcorder to it.

Good camera, still does a decent job for 2020
Good camcorder, but iPhone 11 beats it in terms of noise reduction and accuracy of colors. But still, if you need a camcorder - this is a decent option for the money.
