Great little zoom lens
I purchased this lens for a recent trip I took to Paris. I'm not a fan of zoom lenses but once and a while I do require one and I am very pleased with the performance of this lens.
I actually purchased the Panasonic 45-200mm lens and it was a beast of a lens. The performance was good but it was large and heavy and detracted from the point of carrying a M4/3 camera and lens system.
The 45-150mm that I ordered is a nice compact and light size and was enjoyable to both carry with me and use.
The image stabilization works very well and was nice to use for photos and video.
I know from reviews that this lens isn't a top performer (some mild issues that most lenses exhibit) but for a hobbyist like myself, or just some discreet street photography with a capable zoom lens, this is a very good choice that no one will be disappointed with.Lire l'avis complet...

Top Rate Value with A- IQ
No better value in a lasting lens that covers this range, the Olympus version is less durable and is outperformed by the Panasonic. Of the 4 Panasonic lens near this range and performance, the 35-100 45-175 and the 45-200 (not including any newer "II" or F2.8 versions) I have found this to be the best in natural outdoor light settings, whether street or landscape. The 45-150 is the simpler design with the fewest elements and the cost savings was achieved by not using ED elements while improving more even sharpness and less CA. I don't think anyone can go wrong with any lens mentioned above, if they did it would only because they paid too much. It seems to perform well doing closeups and distances outdoors in natural light from about 50-120mm at 5.6 - 7.1 - because of where it seems to excel and the slow speed - it should be logical for anyone to consider not what a lens does, but rather what you do? Where do you shoot, when, what? If you shoot outdoors in natural light with slower apertures 50% of the time or less ... it's still a good lens because it's inexpensive and affordable .... and as sharp as anything except the A rated fast glass high dollar stuff of courseLire l'avis complet...

Lightweight and sharp
The Panasonic Lumix 45/150 4/3 lens is very light weight, small, and sharp. It makes a lot of sense to carry and use this lens rather than a more expensive, heavier, lens.

Nice
I like what I see so far. The lens allows for sharp images, is lightweight, has smooth focus and aperture rings, and comes with a lens hood. I probably would have preferred metal construction as opposed to plastic (sure, the lens wouldn't be as light), but I'm an amateur on a budget and the price point is more important. It's still early, but I would say this is an excellent value for the price.Lire l'avis complet...

Sharp for little money
Have a couple in silver + black: they're a relatively long lens; not terribly fast; easy to shoot with; 8x10's sharp & (oh yes) it's affordable & reach is good to have when shooting event from distance. Worth acquiring!

Awesome
Panasonic never ceases to amazes me. With micro four thirds you want to buy other brands so bad. Theres really no need. Its this a great match to the dmc-g7.
