Incredibly Capable Production Camera

I'm very pleased with my AG-AF100, I bought it because it reminded me of a Panasonic camcorder I used to shoot Sports Video with, the ability to fit and use other lenses made it appealing to me.
the 1080 High Definition looks fantastic, and of course the more you know about cinematography the more you can utilize what this machine has to offer.
I like my AF100 so much that I've ordered another.
IF you get one, make sure to acquire the instruction manual AND the AF100 Book, this is absolutely crucial in appreciating this camera and fine tuning it to your taste. This is NOT a "run n gun camera." But terrific for studio or tripod use.

As with all advanced cameras there is a fairly steep learning curve with the AF100. But, with some learning and experimentation you can get this camera to provide the look that you're looking for, and have lots of control over the image to achieve both video and cinematic affects. The SDI slot will enable you to record directly off the sensor in pro res---great for final cut users. You can do this with a Ninja II or other video recorder and be able to load your footage in at extremely high quality that is also final cut friends .mov instead of AVCHD.
Before owning this I owned a Sony VG900 full frame, interchangeable lens camcorder, but I get far superior results with the Panasonic AF100, and I can say the same for the Panasonic GH3. But, if you use a GH3 I highly recommend a Ninja II: it will give you a bigger monitor, and zebra and focus peaking; essential for getting the best exposures.Lire l'avis complet...

Dayton Access Television uses cameras similar to the AF100 that are used every week by different people and have over 1000 hours of use on them.
