Pana - Vue#3 old school simple but effective
simply put, put your slide in the viewer, face a light source and see your slide bright & clear at 2X magnification.
unfortunately, a little too bulky for your pocket but great for around the house. it is priced under $10.

Works OK for an initial look at your old slides.
It's OK for quick viewing to determine which slides you'll want to look harder at with a better viewer. The optics aren't the greatest, but for a quick view it's fine, and I find that if I move the slide forward and back and move my eye in relation to the eyepiece, I can get decent focus. Aiming it at a bright sky or bright window works much better than aiming at an indoor light.
I find that the slide mounts often like to hang up on the edges of the slot when inserting, so I have to jiggle them a little bit to get them to drop. It's not a big deal, and you get good at it.
The translucent front panel is attached only at the bottom edge, so I don't know how long it will last before that breaks. It is possible to remove the front panel to blow out dust if necessary, which is nice.
Because this is very small, and because it must have still had some mold-release compound on it when new, it was slick and hard to hang onto it. The surface has become less slick with use, and it's OK now.
The bottom line is that if you're looking for a cheap way to take an initial look at slides to decide which will get more attention, this works fine. Lire l'avis complet...

Minimal use item for selection of slides.
The product is not very well made and it does a poor job of seeing the slides, BUT I only bought it in order to review some old slides to determine which I felt I needed to keep. If I had the need to actually view a slide I would have been required to purchase something much better, so I only recommend it IF you only wish to have a quick glance to make a decision to keep or through away, NOT for actually VIEWING.Lire l'avis complet...

Sort of ok? Ok, it is ok.
I knew what this was when I ordered it. It is cheap flimsy plastic that was exactly what I expected. It is also does what is supposed to do even if it is slow and clumsy to use. Pana-view viewer is a good bargain!
The Pana-vue slide viewer is very handy for viewing my old 35mm slides. I bought 2 so that other family members can view other slides at the same time.

Good little slide viewer
This is an excellent slide viewer. It is not a projector. I used to review slides to determine if I wanted to have them converted to digital. Worked perfectley.

Yep. That's what it is.
Wanted a cheap viewer to review many old slides for which I will have pictures made. The viewer is better than holding slides up to a light. Not a high quality viewer, but ok for that purpose.
