Great Space Western!

This movie is an homage to High Noon, replacing Gary Cooper with Sean Connery and moving it all into space.
I had a chance to compare the DVD to the Blu Ray and there is definitely an improvement. It is much clearer and makes the DVD look like a VHS tape.Lire l'avis complet...

LOOKS FANTASTIC ON BLU-RAY

I'VE WATCHED THIS MOVIE MORE TIME THAN I CAN REMEMBER. THE ONLY FLY IN THE OINTMENT WAS THE DREADFUL TRANSFER TO DVD. THAT ISSUE IS COMPLETELY ELIMINATED HERE AND THE MOVIE CAN BE ENJOYED AS INTENDED.

"Outland" on Blu Ray was worth the wait. If you enjoy the film, get it.

Like most fans of "Outland", I was pleasantly surprised when Warner Brothers announced this for Blu Ray earlier this year.
I'm sure that most of us thought we'd never see it, but what
an upgrade over the old dvd. The bottom line, after watching
this improved print on Blu Ray, you'll never want to watch "Outland" any other way. Warner Brothers has done a terrific job here. The disc is light on supplements but the commentary by

Gotta love High Noon in Space

I would have loved this as a double feature with Zardoz, but never mind, still love watching Sean do just about anything.

A Sci-Fi Western

I paid a little more than I wanted, but I have missed seeing this movie and the fact they remastered this for blue ray well, icing on the cake.

Connery's Outland is an all but forgotten old school masterpiece of sci-fi western-type action. This Blu Ray is so excellent.

"high Noon" in space

It's "High Noon" in outer space. Dialogue and acting very engaging. It's Frances Sternhagen in top form as the doctor. Good banter between Frances and Sean.
