Know your needed range

The controller works well, lots of options, and was easy to install, but the wireless remote has a limited range. Our controller is mounter in our horse barn controlling a lawn area in front of the barn and an outdoor riding arena sprinkler array about 75 yards from the barn. Limited Range and no Strain Relief

I love the concept of this device and it is constructed well. The first issue is that there is no chord strain relief for the power chord and their is no way to install your own. The chord comes prewired. The hole for the chord is open and an obvious place where spiders and other critters will come in. The system is a 12 station and there is only one strain relief hole for the valve wires. Valve wire cables come in 5 or 7 conductors typically so you will need to install a second hole for a second cable. I bought the system because I was tired of running back and fourth to the sprinkler timer when I am adjusting and tuning up my sprinklers. The system should do that, but the range of the remote control is very short. I might as well just run back to the timer and control them from there. The whole purpose of this remote control system is to be able to control the sprinklers from a distance. The advertised remote control range is "up to 300 feet", the range is much much less than 300 feet. Mine is closer to 100 feet. It may work for a very small yard, but don't expect 300 feet of coverage.Lire l'avis complet...

Remote watering just got better.

It makes the job easier to set each station and with the remote you can shut it off or turn one on at a time if you're working on the system.
