Good around camera

I bought this off eBay as it is now an obsolete line. I owned one and it " blew up " while on holiday I jumped about 5 meters and it didn't like that. Anyway I dive and had an underwater housing which was reasonably expensive and wanted to replace the camera rather than everything. My last one did me well for 7 years so I'm hoping to get a good couple out of this second one. They take great underwater photos and are a great tough all round good camera.Lire l'avis complet...

Pre-owned Olympus camera

Used version of an outstanding Olympus point and shoot camera loaded with features. All accessories were included. Unit showed signs of use and control wheel graphics were worn virtually off. I was happy not to pay too much.

This is a camera I use for underwater photography. It can bu used without a housing to the depth of 33 feet. I also have dedicated housing that allows me to go much deeper. When the camera was new it cost 400 dollars, to have a backup for 1/4 that price enables me year's of underwater use.
The only thing I don't like is the sd card that is dedicated olympus.

To replace this camera it will cost me about 500.00 dollars. It is a ver good little camera.Lire l'avis complet...

Olympus Stylus 1030SW - Best Cameral I have ever owned!

To make this short and sweet, this is by far, the best point and shoot, digital camera, that I have ever owned. Very expensive when new, you can get them for a song today (used.)

I was going to invest in one of the Casio rugged digital cameras, and while looking through reviews, I stumbled upon this model. It had excellent reviews, across the board, and I decided it was for me.

Everything is sealed, so you can use it in bad weather, and if you drop it, no problem, (within reason.)

It is completely waterproof, and you can take pictures and videos underwater, to a certain depth.

This is one of those experiences, where I would rather by a slightly used Cadillac, then a brand new Ford Escort. I believe this camera is going to give me years and years of great service, and with 10.1 megapixels, I can not see what you would possibly need anything more than that.Lire l'avis complet...

Olympus 1030SW Waterproof Digital Camera

This camera seems to hold up to some pretty stout abuse. It takes crisp, clear pictures. It functions well underwater. All in all a good piece of equipment. Outstanding camera when you have kids around.

I love this camera. I have a 5 yr old that well loves using it to take photos. He says that he is a reporter. The fact that it can take a fall or get into water says it all. The features are easy to use and it has a huge amount of features that make taking photos easy, fun, and exciting. I only wish that this camera had a better zoom. The Olympus Stylus 1030sw digital camera is perfect for all the adventure lovers. It's constructed in a way that it withstands almost any weather condition. It's freeze-proof, crush-proof, water-proof, and it withstands a 6-foot fall. I've used it underwater to dive and it takes awesome underwater pictures and videos. It has lots of special features that help you change the settings with the touch of a button. Like New Camera Works Perfectly

I received this camera in the box with instructions, warranty card, Li-50 battery, and XD card. The condition of the camera was like new. Out of the box the camera worked perfectly and showed minimal if any wear. Have have the same model camera in the past and paired it with Ikelite and Olympus underwater housings. Good Deal on a Camera

Nice camera. Most of the cameras are missing the piece around the lens. If this is missing it will not fit into my underwater case.

Olympus 1030SW

This camera is great! I read a bunch of reviews talking about how the camera broke after one use but mine works just as promised. Went to the keys and took great underwater pictures of coral and fish. Followed cleaning/rinsing instructions to clear all salt from the camera.

Some people complained that the camera stopped working after a few months of use. I am a mechanical engineer and you need to realize while the camera may have been built and advertised to sustain drops form 6.5" and submersion in water to depths of 33", but each time the camera is dropped on hard surfaces the integrity of the waterproofing is diminished. The camera was built to outlast "mishaps" and "accidental drops" so you should refrain from tossing the camera here and there.

All in all I think Olympus provided a product that does just what it says. I am very happy with my purchase.Lire l'avis complet...
