Superb lens and a way underestimated camera, fantastic value!

I have an SLR camera but needed a back-up camers and this does the job admirably.
The C8080 is what used to be known as a "bridge" camera ie something between a compact and an SLR camera. This description is however rather unfair on the C8080 which is really aimed at top amateurs or professionals who need a second camera.
The lens is not interchangeable but within it's admitably not huge zoom range it is a superb lens that will beat the "kit" lenses supplied with top name brand SLRs.
Lens quality is so good that, having passed this camera on to my daughter, I am considering getting another for myself again.
Olympus as a brand is so much smaller than its Nicannon competitors that it is often overlooked and this is a pity as they are acknowledged to produce some of the best "glass" out there.
OK, let's be honest, this camera is a few years old. You take the risk of something going wrong and maybe it can't be fixed. But for a camera that can be bought (sometimes!) for around 100 quid this is a no-brainer. No it's not compact (though much smaller than an SLR)and if you only want a point-and-shoot it's not for you, but if you want a quality instrument that is usually way underestimated give it a go!Lire l'avis complet...
