Old Dogs

Charlie and Dan have been best friends and business partners for thirty years; their Manhattan public relations firm is on the verge of a huge business deal with a Japanese company. With two weeks to sew up the contract, Dan gets a surprise: a woman he married on a drunken impulse nearly nine years before annulled the next day shows up to tell him he's the father of her twins, now seven, and she'll be in jail for 14 days for a political protest. Dan volunteers to keep the tykes, although he's up tight and clueless. I watch this movie with some friends expecting not to like it. The only reason that made me think it wasn't gonna be garbage was the great cast, so I gave it a shot. I was surprised to say I actually sort of liked it. The movie stars Robin Williams and John Travolta as Dan and Charlie, two businessmen and long-time best friends. The surprise element of this movie is that it's actually pretty funny. It doesn't hurt that a great supporting cast including Lori Loughlin, Justin Long, Matt Dillon, Seth Green, and the late Bernie Mac are in it. Old Dogs is a kind of different kind of title.

John was telling Robin how to do things only it would not work out for the best until the end. Then it worked the other way for both actors. It is a funny and interesting movie.

A good laugh for the entire family

Robin Williams and John Travolta team up in this funny comedy about two single guys who are going to take care of two six year old twins. Of course neither of them has a clue what they are doing and in the process of figuring it out we end up with this hilarious comedy.

Both Williams and Travolta are great in this movie and work well together.

Good family comedy

Funny family movie. Great watch with the kids. A lot of mishap humor of things going wrong. Physical comedy of Robin Williams. Worth a few buck to watch once or twice.

Laugh out loud funny! It's been years since we watched this movie and we enjoyed it very much. The baby proofing scenes are halarious and medication mixup is a scream!

OLD DOGS movie review

Want a good story and have some really great laughs? Watch this movie and you'll see how talented actors such as Robin Williams, John Travolta, Seth Green, Matt Damon, and Justin Long all do EXCELLENT jobs with their characters. Bernie Mac's final performance is a tribute in this movie and will be remembered well by all viewers -- great work Bernie! Female actors Kelly Preston & Elle Bleu Travolta add their expertise to this film making it a must-see movie for the whole family, young and old!

The plotline can be found online so I won't rehash it here. Suffice it to say, this 88 minute movie is ROTFLMAO comedy throughout the film. I laughed so hard I was crying it was that funny!! Robin Williams natural comedic style comes through this dramatic picture, so it's not all serious nor is it all comedy. The placement of the comedy is right. The placement of the drama is right. The directing and cinematography throughout was just perfect.

The reactions by the characters to various situations reel you in and you either feel sad for the character or you laugh with & at them for what they're experiencing. What would YOU do if you were caught in a gorilla cage?? I'd scream like a freak just like Seth Green does! And Matt Dillon and Justin Long are fantastic in the Scouting scenes -- "My beef is not with you old woman..."

Watch this show! It's 88 minutes of pure fun. If you don't laugh or enjoy this movie, check your pulse! If you're not one to normal buy movies, you'll want to buy this one for your collection; it is DEFINITELY WORTH IT!!Lire l'avis complet...
