Nortel T7316e Business Series Terminal

Nortel Networks raised the standard with the deployment of the
Nortel Networks Norstar Business Series Terminal product line.
The Business Series telephone model T7316e is an extremely durable<br>and reliable digital telephone originally designed for the Nortel Networks
Norstar ICS (Integrated Communication System) suite of telphone systems.
As VoIP(Voice over IP) and computer telephony integration have begun to
change the underlying method by which businesses communicate, Nortel
added an additional product line labeled the BCM(Business Communication Manager).
The T7316e is cross compatible with both product lines translating
into ease of migration from one Nortel Networks business telephone system
product line to another. Since I became aqauinted with Nortel in 1992,
I can honestly say the business telephones they manufacture and sell
are some of the best in the world. I have been testing, installing, selling,
and maintaining telephone products from most of the telecommunication
manufacturers for the past 15 years. The Business Series T7316e is by
far the most reliable(in terms of length of service) and the most durable
in comparrison to other manufacturers products in the same class.

Nortel Networks T7316 phone

So, I had to have one of these because I moved into a new building and this is the system they have. I want someone to answer my phones, and this phone lets me do it. On to things I hate: 1. My cheap-ass home phones let me share two phones in the office, see the caller ID, were cordless, showed me how long the call was automatically, but let the receptionist answer my phone at the same time I did. This phone is relatively expensive, does not show me the caller ID, has a cord, and you have to push a button to see how long the call was. 2. Oh, I forgot to mention that my cheap ass home phone could work on speaker. This one doesn't. There is the T7316E - which does have a speaker phone, but that's more expensive. So, what does this phone get you for being so expensive? A whole lot of hassle for a whole lot of money. But someone else answers my phones. So that's good. I would never never never never install one of these systems in a building I controlled. But I didn't make that decision. Maybe someday I will buy an office building to go with a more reasonable phone system. Whew. Now THAT would get expensive. :) (P.S. I went ahead and bought the T7316E, so this one is no longer hooked up. Eventually I will get an extension cord and use this one for my admin station. I still hate it. Even not hooked up.)Lire l'avis complet...

A Better Phone for Newer Meridian Norstar's and BCM's

I use a Nortel BCM400 phone system (migrated from a Nortel CICS 6.1) and I'm buying mostly refurbished and used T7316 units for it. Unlike the Meridian M7310 and M7324 phones it replaces, keys are more quickly relabelled because all the keys can be reassigned by printing a preformatted template, rather than changing out individual key inserts. I also find the speakerphone clearer on the transmission side. The T7316e model is newer and permits the addition of a 24-key extension module for receptionists or answering stations. (The T7316e can be recognised in a photo as the bottom key row has a third key for the speakerphone which is not present in the T7316). I need very few of these, and the older T7316 units are usually less expensive. Plastics are good in the whole T-series product line, and can be cleaned using Windex sprayed on a cotton cloth (don't use a lot).Lire l'avis complet...

Nortel T7316 2 Lines Corded Phone

We have other phones in our office with the same serial number and needed an additional phone for a new person starting. The phone has not been used yet so I'm hoping there are no problems with it. It's been hooked up and we do have dialtone at this time.Lire l'avis complet...
