Console is as described, cool as it's heyday.
I originally had a black gamecube back in the days but had to get rid of it due to troubles. After a while I wanted to get my first gamecube colored console just like the old days. The price is indeed very steep but everything is there. The console is like new, controller, manuals, box, it's all there and the moment I touched the gamecube it brought me back to when I got it for my birthday back when it started. Gamecube is a Great Console
Gamecube was an underdog in it's heyday. It was the only console in it's generation that had wireless controllers (wavebirds) made by console maker. The Gamecube controllers were one of my favorite controllers. To my knowledge PS2 and Xbox (original) only had wired controllers.
Gamecube had a solid number of titles but lacked a good number of shooter/mature games and online multi-player service. Gamecube lacked DVD and Blu-ray support due to only taking minidiscs. However, there is a rare console "Panasonic Q" which is basically a Gamecube with DVD support. This was never released in USA. Moreover, by default the gamecube doesn't stream movies or music, unlike newer consoles which can install a Netflix App. No Hard Drive, you save stuff on memory cards.
However, it does support Component, RF, and Composite out. Though you might have to buy your desired connector.
This game system did have some good titles such as: Super Smash Bros Melee, Army Men Sarge's War, Army Men RTS, Mega Man Anniversary collection, Mega Man X Collection and Timesplitters. Over 600 titles to pick from so I can't list them all.
I'd give the recommendation based on what games you want to play. If you want the maximum amount of youngster games, don't want online server, and need wireless controllers. Then pick the Gamecube. However, if you really want a better selection of shooter/mature games and online servers, check out Xbox, Xbox 360 and Xbox One. Playstation 2, 3 and 4 are great for adult gamers too.

Everything is great besides the center piece
The main reason for buying this bundle is for the console, but the console has one problem, the sound doesnt work. For the value it is a great find, but i cant enjoy the full package.

Good, but slightly broken controller
The console works great, came with the component cord and the power cord. It also came with the Godzilla fighting game, which isn't really my cup of tea, but it's a nice addition. The only problem is that the left joystick on the controller is slightly broken: when I press it up in a video game, it's as if it's only pressed slightly up,if that makes sense. Great to have the version with component output
I bought my GameCube the day it came out in 2001. It quickly became, and remains, one of my favorite systems of all time. I amassed quite a library for it, and one of my all time favorite games (Super Mario Sunshine) is a GameCube exclusive.
Unfortunately, last fall my house got burglarized, and the burglars took my GameCube (luckily they did not take the games). I found a brand new GameCube (still in box) at a local pawn shop, but it ended up being one of the newer models that only had a standard composite (A/V) output. Since then, I have been looking for a relatively inexpensive version of the system that had the component video output. Obviously, GameCube games will only look so good on an HDTV, but I can tell a HUGE difference when playing progressive scan compatible games like Metroid Prime and The Legend of Zelda Wind Waker in progressive scan as opposed to the normal display mode. Nintendo Game Cube Black(DOL-001)
I owned a Black Game Cube (DOL-001), but decided to sell it because I lost interest due to work.
Recently, I just couldn't resist having a Game Cube again. Just missed all the great games I had for it.
Now I bought one & I'm really glad I did. The Game Cube library is huge & has something for everybody.
The graphics on some of the games are just spectacular. The Game Cube controller is very comfortable
to use. It's very easy to set up, even a 4 yr old can do it. I will not be selling my Game Cube anytime soon.

This is a previously owned GameCube which is a really great value compared with a new product. It arrived a day early,and works really well, The graphics are clear and the controller is perfect. Excellent console, and in my opinion the best of its generation.
Nintendo's Gamecube sold the poorest for its generation, but definitely didn't lack a library of amazing games. Nintendo's famous characters all make an appearance on this console, including Mario in Super Mario Sunshine, Samsus in Metroid Prime, and even Luigi in Luigi's mansion, as does the second (and best, imo) Smash Bros. games. If you're into RPGs the Gamecube has a few great ones you won't find elsewhere, such as Tales of Symphonia (this is actually re-released on ps3 now), Baten Kaitos and its sequel, or Eternal Darkness.
The Gamecube, in my opinion, has one of the best controllers to date; it's very comfortable, and aesthetically appealing. The controller also has gated joysticks, which are quite handy when playing games that require more precise joystick movement.
One of these can be had for around $40 on eBay, depending on your luck and patience in finding a good deal, and if you happen to find yourself with a component cable the picture quality is outstanding for its time (although don't expect PS3 or Xbox360 quality visuals out of this). The NTSC version of the console can play both NTSC and NTSC-J versions of games with a simple region switch modification (not a modchip) as an added bonus.
If you are looking for some games to play the Gamecube is currently a fairly cheap way of playing some amazing exclusives you can't find elsewhere, and I would definitely recommend this over both the Wii or the Wii-u as far as library goes. The early models of the Wii are able to play Gamecube games natively, and is a good alternative to buying an actual Gamecube, although it's always nice to have the original.Lire l'avis complet...
Good quality good prices alright shipping
I am really happy with this purchase although the way that it was packed is not the best as soon as I opened the box I was ready for a massive clean up. It has hundreds of pieces of shredded paper and I even had to pull them out of the ports and fan blades but that's the only bad part. Its been working perfect the controllers are a little scuffed but that's understandable for a 19 year old console all around a good buy.Lire l'avis complet...
