A good action game but not a good Ninja Gaiden game !!

The latest Ninja Gaiden installment for PS3 and X Box 360. I purchased this game because I like playing Ninja Gaiden series (right from NES era) and I am kind of disappointed.

The game follows the story of young ninja Ryu Hayabusa and his adventures in multiple countries. The game introduces a new feature: Steel On Bones which is basically a slow motion (zoomed-in)action when you cut through enemy body, and you press additional button for more dramatic feeling. It also features new systems, called Grip of Murder, which is your invincible mode that you can gain by killing enough enemies. The graphic is quite good and the fighting scenes quite fluid.

It also includes multiplayer mode, where players can play co-op to complete tough missions or skirmishes 4 vs 4 players. The multiplayer mode also offers limited character customization, such as outfit, face protector and kanji letters.

The downside of this game:
- Melee auto targeting is pretty bad.
- Only one type of weapon available, which is Ninja Katana. Other weapons will be added via DLC.
- The ninpo(ninja magic)is made simpler. You kill enemies to fill ninpo bar and when it fulls, you can unleash an awesome ninpo. The bar will reset after the fight even though you don't use it.
- Items and collectibles are non-existent.
- Lack of difficulty (trademark of Ninja Gaiden series).

Last word, this is a good hack and slash game, I recommend it, but if you want to play Ninja Gaiden, I don't recommend this game. You better off playing Ninja Gaiden Sigma or Sigma 2.Lire l'avis complet...

fun game but isn't as hard as the first one was...

Fun game and it isn't insanly hard as the first one was and it is a little bit easier then the second one was. There is also a hero difficulty setting that you can play the game on that it is almost impossible to die. All in all it is a fun game to play.Lire l'avis complet...

A must have for rpg players collections.

Great game grafics, easy controls,holds your interest and challenges you throughout the game. Kid friendly for the older kids, yet easy for the begginer gamer to get into and enjoy.

My words... Get the game!!!

Great Game!!! Very bloody and suspenseful. I would play that game over and over if i had the chance. I think its better than ninja gaiden sigma

nice game but as I've heard its nothing like the oldclassic Ninja Gaiden

I liked it so far, I've never played any of the previous parts and as I've heard the old ones were better, but for me I liked it a lot, and I enjoyed playing it a lot!
