It’s up there!

The D7000 is up there in technical stuff —a newbie could go all day on “auto” settings or “scene” however the camera wont see the scene as the photographer’s eye does. I do recommend watching a learning video and reading the manual to understand how to program it. The custom user settings would come in handy if you find yourself shooting the same thing frequently. I’m not a pro, just an average person. There is a lot in the camera—enjoy!Lire l'avis complet...

An absolute joy to use.

I have been a loyal Nikon user for many many years. I started with their D3000 DSLR, then went to the D5000. Having transitioned to the D7000 has made digital imaging a pure joy. The capabilities of this camera are endless. A must for this camera is the MB D11 battery grip which gives it a bit better balance and heft. It also makes vertical shots much easier. 6fps for 100 exposures is a must for sports and action photography. The images are crisp, well exposed and with snappy contrast. I highly recommend this camera to anyone who is a professional and doesn't need a full frame digital (FX) and to serious hobbyists and semi professionals.Lire l'avis complet...

first dslr

I went to flickr and noticed that this was the most popular Nikon camera even though it was 6 years old. I am not disappointed. The camera still holds up and is easy to use. The seller provided a quality product. Thank you.Lire l'avis complet...

Great camera, great features, exceptional value.

Thank you Ken Rockwell for so highly recommending this camera! The one I bought was like new, and contained 90% of the features of its successor (and the remaining 10% I didn't care about in the first place). Like I'm really going to notice the extra pixels on the D7100.

Though...I wish it had a built in HDR setting like the D5100, D5200 or D5300.

More than a worthy successor to the D90; it's more of an update to the D300s. It's a bargain at its price point vs features. And newbs can start of with its auto and scene mode training wheels until they feel comfortable using the advanced features of this camera.

Great Nikon product, as always. My first SLR was a Nikon.

I've owned a D100, a D200, two D80s and a D90. This D7000 has far more features than I'll ever use. My favorite was the D200 and I should still have it but moved to the D90. I then sold the D90 to buy the d7000. Fortunately, I have David Busch's 577 page guide on how to get through all the screens and features. I almost bought a Canon 60D and I would have except I have a range of Nikon lenses. The 18-105mm Nikon lens will work fine for most occasions. Hard to fault Nikon's quality and attention to model progression. I looked at the D300 but decided the D7000 would do everything just as well and some things better.Lire l'avis complet...

A great buy for the body and lenses, not for the accessories.

The main bulk of this package (camera body and lenses) work great. They arrived in good condition and are a real step up from the D3100.

The viewfinder was truly amazing, particularly with the zoom lens. I used it at a sporting event, sitting 100-150 feet away, and the clarity was practically perfect.

This camera is certainly a step up from beginning DSLR's, but it takes some getting used to as the placement of new controls and features differs from many preceding models.

While I am very pleased with the majority of the package, a few of the additional items were a bit disappointing. The 50" tripod is cumbersome to use and the leg extensions are flimsy, not something I would trust to hold my new camera in any situation. I ended up giving it away to beginning photographers (with smaller and lighter cameras).

The card reader, while functional, isn't as durable as I expected.

The main reason I purchased this package was for the body and lenses. After searching around stores and online, this is one of the better packages out there for what I received in return.

There is also a manufacture's warranty included with this particular package because it is from within the U.S.A. Most other packages, while slightly cheaper in price, are imported and do not come with any form of protection (which is something I would consider when paying this much for a camera).

If you're ready to take a step up from lower end cameras and become a more serious photographer, this selection will certainly get you started.

Nikon D 7000 best DX Camera you can buy.

The D7000 is the best DX camera available and probably has more features than most people need. I bought it because I am a bit of an equipment nut. If I lived in the USA, I probably would have bought it new from B and H or Amazon but since I live in Panama I bought a very slightly used one on e-bay. That way I paid considerably less duty and saved about $700 as compared to the price of one here in Panama. For those on a budget a good used D40 will take excellent pictures and in combination with a 18-105mm vr you have a great outfit at low cost. I am planning to buy the 16-85mm vr and also the 70-300mm vr for my D7000.Lire l'avis complet...

Fantastic dSLR

Photography is a serious hobby for me, but not a profession, so I don't have much experience with the highest end cameras. With that in mind, I wanted to find a camera that would allow me to take high quality photos without breaking the bank. I couldn't be happier with the D7000. This model has amazing picture quality, dual memory card slots for backup, a nice sized LCD screen, and shoots video. I have zero complaints- very happy with the purchase! I intentionally bought the next to newest model and saved a ton in comparison to the D7100Lire l'avis complet...

Great Camera for the serious photographer wanting to improve their skills.

I upgraded from the D5100 for the better build quality and for the ability to use all Nikon lenses. What I didn't realize was that I was getting a lot more pro level features in the bargain. With over 100 custom settings I can personalize this camera to suit the style of photography I do. This is not a camera for the beginner because of its level of customization and sophistication. Hands down this is the best cropped sensor camera in the marketplace.Lire l'avis complet...
